Oct 25, 2021 Love u bro but come on Ressurection completely ruined H20 with that impossible 'paramedic' swap lmao. Only to have some losers spend time in the Myers house. And to top it off, "HEY MIKEY TRICK OR TREAT MFer!!!" And the Thorn bs in H6 is the worst storyline of the whole f---ing 12 or so movies. I gotta give it to H6 though; the Tommy Doyle character there was a lot better than the corny, cringe worthy version they had in Halloween Kills lmao. Will give my full thoughts on HK later!
Oct 25, 2021 Welp I’ve been royally put off from watching Halloween Kills due to all the negative reviews I’m seeing. Bring on Scream 5. Can’t wait! (Has there been any discussion on the new scream yet? Haven’t checked)
Oct 25, 2021 RZ H2 completely ruined both Loomis and Laurie's character, nothing good about that movie imo. HK sure has its issues (a lot lol) and its probably in the bottom half of Halloween movies for me, but I rather watch that one again than H6/H2/HR. Did u see the trailer? Saw an interview w the director I think that the trailer was very misleading and not what it seemed.. so probably lots of twists again. If they keep that S4 level its gonna be amazing
Oct 25, 2021 I don't think Kills is that bad. I prefer the last one, but it was still entertaining to watch. I just don't like how everytime they k--- him you just waiting for him to stand up again. They turned him into Superman, except Superman did die. I personally prefer when he escapes and they think he died.
Oct 26, 2021 Trailer looks incredible but you guys should avoid it at all costs. 99% sure they gave away a f---ing killer
Oct 26, 2021 I know that's what they said but directors always say that to try and fend off actual spoilers(Game Of Thrones for example) Do you know what scene I'm talking about?
Oct 26, 2021 I liked Halloween Kills. Didn’t love it but it’s better than 2018. 3.5/5. Pros -The flashback scene -Michael testing knives -The kills, all of them -JJC as Myers -Humor was an improvement -Well paced and tone was consistent Cons -The dialogue especially from Laurie and Tommy -The hospital scene dragging too long -The ending being changed from the test screenings -Characters generally making dumb decisions
Oct 29, 2021 Agree w most of this except that 2018 was way better imo. Gonna watch it again this weekend (saw it in theathre last week) and post my thoughts. But yeah Tommy was awull lol. I prefered the silent creepy Halloween 6 version Paul Rudd played TBH. But HK also had gr8 stuff. Gonna add in HK after the watch but for now my ranking; Halloween Halloween 2018 Halloween 4 Halloween H20 Halloween 2 (but honestly mostly because of the music, movie itself is pretty boring) / Halloween 5 Halloween 1 zombie (kinda thought first one wasn't that bad) Halloween 6 (started out fine, until that thorn cult s---) Halloween Ressurection Halloween 2 Zombie Myers movies only, but H3 probably behind 4 or H20
Oct 29, 2021 Spoiler karen being on the phone with Laurie and then getting killed. So that Laurie heard it. they probably changed it because HE starts 4 years later
Oct 29, 2021 I'm interested to see how they handle Halloween Ends. I hope it's good and that they don't make him blatantly supernatural or some s---. The more they explain the worse the movies get lol.
Oct 29, 2021 Agree w you to an extent. They shouldn't turn him into some Jason / Zombie type of being. However its kinda weird that people (also itt) suddenly have a problem with Michael being "supernatural" in HK when.... - Laurie stabbed him in the neck, Loomis shot him 6 times in H1.... didn't even harm him. - Loomis shot him again like 8 times in Halloween II.... no problem. - he was burned to the ground in H2 yet he was fine in Halloween 4. He also got shot by the national guard like a 100 times. Yet when we saw his face in H5 he had no burns and was, again... fine. His eyes also recovered from H2. - got stabbed multiple times by Laurie in H20 , but was fine until she cut off his head (I'm ignoring that bs Ressurection storyline that it wasn't him because a normal person wouldn't have survived being ran over by that van lol) - got burned down in Halloween (2018) and had his lungs filled w toxic... yet he walked out and killed as many people as he did. And NOW people are suddenly mad at his superhuman powers? LMAO
Oct 29, 2021 @ComfortablyNumb do you also think the funniest scene in H2018 was also kinda lame? I mean the one w the kid (Julian) and the babysitter (Vicky). The banter was pretty funny but it was pretty unrealistic that a kid asks his babysitter to not close the door and came across as really scared... and then when Michael slaughters Vicky, he goes "ooh s---" and tells her boyfriend not to go upstairs. I think they wanted to be funny a little too much lol. Also loved the scene in HK where that gay couple got pranked by those kids lmao.
Oct 29, 2021 This is a joke right? Michael kills everyone. If he let those 2 live, THAT would have been homophobic. Really hope this is some kind of joke, if not the people crying here need to get a f---ing life lol
Oct 29, 2021 Original and 2018 are also my favorites. I finally watched 6 and it was a bit meh, I enjoyed the previous ones more. I can't really get into Halloween 3 for some reason though
Oct 29, 2021 Yeah just watched 2018 again, really good one. They recaptured 1978 with a modern twist. 6 was not a bad movie until that stupid thorn s--- Gonna watch Kills again tomorrow. 3 was fine imo hope they gonna do a remake of that
Oct 29, 2021 I think the feeling of not knowing but everyone in universe thinking he's barely human can be pretty interesting cause the moment you have an actual explanation it becomes less creepy imo. I would much rather him be a crazily resilient guy than some sort of supernatural being cause him having powers feels like more of a cop out to me.
