Jan 28, 2023 Aside from Scream, I really don’t know of much horror coming out yet. I heard the M3gan movie that came out this month was good but I haven’t watched it yet. The Last of Us show could technically be horror and that’s been pretty amazing so far.
Jan 28, 2023 Evil Dead by far! Still need to watch Sick which was made by the dude who wrote the original Scream movies. David Gordon Green's first Exorcist movie is also coming out late this year which should be interesting. Weird cronenberg family movies are wild so Infinity Pool could be cool, the director of Hereditary has a new movie this year called Beau is Afraid but I don't think it's horror. That's all I can list off the top of my head!
Feb 8, 2023 Beau Is Afraid Halloween guy is doing Exorcist remake (planned for Oct. 13 2023) so I guess this will be the Halloween season trilogy after Halloween? James Wan will be doing something based on a short called The Backrooms (might just be producing though) X/Pearl final movie in the trilogy is planned for this year (probably my most anticipated) Cronenberg's son coming out with Infinity Pool (with Mia Goth) some new Stephen King thing that already has a trailer out maybe Salem's Lot finally comes out this year Looking like a fun year in general, probably missing a few things and will get some surprises as usual Edit: Actually exorcist might just be a continuation not a reboot, my bad
Feb 10, 2023 Evil dead 4 or 5 (?) looks cool yeah. Haven't heard of Sick, gonna look for it. If Exorcist really gets the Halloween treatment it HAS to have Reagan in it. Dunno how else to make it a sequel tbh since the others are dead.
Feb 10, 2023 Yeah a new exorcist movie every Halloween is a good way to keep me happy lol. But I am realllly curious how they gonna do this. Like, with Halloween there was a plan, and there have been like 10 myers movies before... but how to make a trilogy as a sequel (which like I said has to feature reagan imo) with Pazuzu... very curious but excited! I hated X... is Pearl similar to it or? Also first things first: Scream 6! Pls dont k--- Gail.
Feb 23, 2023 I last saw Malignant the other night with my gf, it's alright, nothing special 6/10 the 'fight' scene in the police station was fire though
Feb 26, 2023 Already thinking how I'm gonna watch the whole Halloween franchise around the holiday... What order, what 'timeline' first.. only one's I'm skipping is Ressurection and the 2nd Zombie one. Rest is at least fine. I know most people except me and brother @Marsh hated Halloween Kills, but if they changed a few things about Ends the new timeline could have been amazing.
Feb 27, 2023 Kills could have been really dope without some of the most stupid s--- it had. And a different ending. Still fun to watch though.
Feb 27, 2023 Yeah if they scrapped the whole evil dies tonight s--- and didn't make Tommy Doyle such an insufferable character it would have been better. But as you said its just a lot of fun to watch, despite the characters mostly being very very stupid. A few things from Kills went bad because of Ends though. Karens death: so he killed Karen, Laurie was pissed and.... nothing happened. What was the point of him killing her if nothing every came of it? No revenge from Laurie chasing Michael or anything lol. The mob scene: so Kills wanted to show us he was supernatural.. after being shot and beaten to death, he got up and killed like 20 people. The tone was set, Michael Myers was ready for a big rampage!! Halloween Ends: he lives in the sewers and gets beaten up by some lame kid that has to do his work. Super lame. Besides Laurie they brought back several 'legacy' characters to play a huge role, and a few of them survived to fight along with Laurie (Lindsey, Frank). Halloween Ends: Lindsey gets like 3 scenes that add nothing, she isn't even in the last scenese lmao. And Frank, the one that said "HE NEEDS TO DIE" doesn't add s--- either. They were replaced by that awful doctor, the radio stadion loser and some bullies that dressed like 60 years ago. Again I totally get that they couldn't have another Michael goes on a killing spree movie, but if they wanted this to work they should have introduced Corey in Kills. Watch him look up to Michael, and wanting to take his place. Now it was just... weird. Not bad, weird.
Feb 27, 2023 But the biggest LMAO from Kills... He killed like 20 firemen, and a bunch of people. Yet some nerds with baseball bats go fight him. Like when something like that happens there isn't an entire police force hunting him down lol. I mean I get it for the movie, but its so weird.
Feb 27, 2023 American cops would use him as target practice. But I love the scene where a fireman waters him like a plant. They should have played Wayne’s fireman song during that scene
