Oct 31, 2024 @Michael Myers I voted on Halloween in honor of this thread. Crazy thing is my friend is running for a position in government so this election is even crazier for me
Oct 31, 2024 Lol it’s more of a state level thing for my friend. Although maybe he will try to run for president one day
Oct 31, 2024 Laurie is so d--- right in H2018. Those corny podcasters trying to 'understand' and feel for Michael. When she says 'he killed 5 people, and he's a human being we need to understand, and I'm divorced twice and I'm a basketcase??" This is so how it goes nowadays, criminals being labeled as victims and actual victims are forgotten. Those 2 losers didn't want to call Michael a boogeyman, they got what they deserved, good riddance
Oct 31, 2024 Terrifier 3 had this same commentary Podcasters really do not make it out of horror movies
Oct 31, 2024 @Michael Myers chill, fam https://www.instagram.com/reel/DByUL_-tZQ7/?igsh=bTRwdHl2Z3Nqcnpw
Oct 31, 2024 Okay, the main course!! Halloween What is more to say? To me this movie has the best (original) score, the main theme but also 'Laurie's theme' and 'the Myers House'. The Halloween stuff is obviously cool. But the best thing to me is, aside from the opening scene for 40 minutes not much really happens as far as action goes. But you see Michael stalking and creeping Laurie, Linda and Annie the whole time. Then he strikes, with great kills and a dope fight with Laurie at the end. But the fact that they kept it small... no big stuff just these 3 women, makes it so creepy. Why these 3? If you go with almost all sequels, he wanted to k--- his sister. I'm ignoring H2018 right now because that gives us a different explanation. But anyway, this movie is great and creepy from start to finish and the combo of the Halloween holiday and a slasher movie is done perfectly. And Loomis the goat btw. 10/10 Halloween "H40" This movie makes different choices than the original, while still respecting the OG. While Michael never expressed any emotions (well except in H5) his motivation has always been to k--- his family. First Laurie, then Jamie. And people that were in the way. In the 2018 sequel however the family stuff is let go and, even more explored in Kills, Michael just wants to k---. He doesn't care who. As much as the snooty podcasters want to believe there is a connection between him and Laurie, there isn't. He just kills people at random, and those who get in his way. In the original he was stalking the 3 girls, but here he has never even seen Vicky and Dave before. He just got to Haddonfield, so its random. Same w Alyson, he didn't know her. And eventually he was led to Laurie's house by the creepy doctor. Another difference here is where the OG keeps it small, this one has a big Halloween party, the bodies discovered during the movie, which makes it more of a spectacle than the original. Less creeping, more storytelling at the first half and action the second half. But the part where he returns to Haddonfield and goes on the spree is so awesome. Even if its different from the first (well mostly) it's very well done and it totally feels like a Halloween movie. This is tied with Halloween 4 for me as second best, but I have to say I prefer this Michael over giant in part IV. 9/10 Okay after the main course, the desert tomorrow with Kills and Ends And then..... next year all of these classics again!! Already ordered some new movies for the coming months I never seen (old and new).
Nov 1, 2024 Halloween is over here but so glad I extended it with tonight Kills & Ends. Usually friday is my day off but I got a meeting today sadly.. otherwise I would have added the whole day of movies. Next year Halloween is friday so probably gonna add the whole Halloweekend!
