Jun 8, 2018 It's so great to see Michael Myers actually look like Michael Myers again for the first time since 1978
Jun 8, 2018 @Michael Myers @Devil White @DetroitSkills not sure if this was known cause i didnt read any trailer spoilers but notice how a majority of the scenes are direct callbacks to the other films? so its like even though they aren't canon we will see them in canon again
Jun 8, 2018 @M Solo you wouldn't feeling the trailer? a lot of fanservice and of course you got the new generation generic characters but we'll learn to love them just like we did the ppl in the first film and michael actually looks like michael f---
Jun 8, 2018 I LOVE....LOVE...... everything about the trailer that isn't Jamie Lee Curtis. But she is so cringey. And they really have some explaining to do with the life long obsession with Michael Myers. I just cannot swallow Laurie Linda Hamilton Strodes. It doesn't work and looking past that it doesn't make sense.
Jun 8, 2018 This looks dope. The toilet scene - H20 The garage scene - H4 Michael running into those kids - H2 The 2 girls walking - H1 .. this is like all movies into 1. Love how Michael looks.. love the picture of Loomis. Also how they changed the story and ignored H2 and he was taken into custody, nice. I kinda get where @M Solo is coming from but I'm very very excited for this. @Zebedee check this out too!
Jun 8, 2018 Also the not being his sister parts makes him more of a 'boogeyman' again instead of a killer for personal reasons
Jun 8, 2018 I wonder if there will be references to scenes from 5 & 6 too or if they're blatantly only referencing the ones ppl actually like
Jun 8, 2018 I know right?? d--- Hmm dunno. H5 and 6 didn't have much memorable scenes. Lots were already copied from previous movies lol. And the 'thorn' bs GTFO w that bs that was even worse than Laurie killing the wrong person lmao
Jun 8, 2018 I wasn't suggesting bridging over that horrid plotline but I wouldn't care if there was callbacks to some scenes just for nostalgia sake..
Jun 8, 2018 I know but apart from that I cant recall much original stuff from those movies.. f--- just watched again its gonna be amazing. Really curious how the theme will sound or if they go w the original
Jun 8, 2018 The scene where he flips the knife while walking looks savage as f---. Love that as well as the "ghost" sheet callback as well as the teeth scene obviously.
Jun 8, 2018 Yeah the ghost sheet one was great too. Teeth part was new but the scene in the restroom is right out of H20
Jun 8, 2018 Its a blumhouse movie, its exactly what i expected after hearing the description tbh. Maybe i just watch too many blumhouse movies lmfao Definitely. The only reason i said the fan service seems heavy. @Michael Myers i definitely want an original unique take on the theme maybe in the beginning or during a right moment etc. but i want the 1978 theme to play in the end credits. I think we got the “new theme” at the end of the trailer tbh
Jun 8, 2018 So let me give everyone my take on Laurie being a vengeful person who has been preparing for Michael to escape. This isn’t H20. Her way of dealing with the trauma of almost being murdered in that movie was done well. However, we don’t need an exact repeat of H20. That movie will always be there for us to go back and watch. When this film comes out I will still enjoy H20 for what it is and I’ll still watch it. But let me point out why she’s dealing with it differently in this. H20 followed H2. In that movie Michael appears to be dead. He burned to a crisp and Laurie watched it happen. So she thinks hes dead all these years hence why there would be no reason for her to have to prepare for Michael. In this however she knows Michael is alive and that he’ll eventually escape again. If he did it once he’ll do it again and she knows it. Also we know they’re not brother and sister in this. So Michael would have no reason to come to her when he escapes. That’s why she’s going to bring the fight to him instead. Unless of course he wants to finish the job because she escaped from him. But we don’t know that yet. We still have to see how their first encounter in the movie goes. Either way, it makes sense. I get everyone’s complaints about it but that’s my take. This was the best way to give us a Loomis type character since Donald Pleasance is no longer with us as well.
