    Budden is a great lyricist and can rap for days don't get me wrong, but at no point in his career was he ever a top tier rapper like Migos are- thats why it just makes him look like a sore loser when he talks s--- about rappers poppin right now.

    Because he wasn't, think of the rappers in their prime when he was. Kanye, Wayne, Lupe, Hov, Ti etc .....he aint close to them

    he was in a different lane than those guys. all of them were able to go mainstream, if that's what you mean about being top tier. As far as being a top contender in rapping, he definitely was. For a long time, no one wanted to beef with Joe.

    well yeah Migos is def more popular than Joe ever was, but lyrically, even now way out of his prime, he can rap circles around them.. you don't have to like his music to respect his talent

    No s--- he is more lyrical than Migos, no one ever said Migos are lyrical rappers. Migos are the definition of flowing on a beat, in that aspect- they rap circles around Budden.

    And I respect Buddens music, I have listened to him for a long time, however, as an interview personality, I got low respect for him.

    No...they don't at all...like not even close. The point of the discussion in this thread is saying that Joe is trash, when in reality if he responded to those golden girls it would be a slaughter

    Well I respectively disagree. Budden takes the cake easily lyrically, but Migos take it easily flow wise- not like Budden had a whole generation tryna bite his flow. I dont see how thats a stretch at all.
