Mar 14, 2015 You're taking the L hard with the Rios thing, its sad. And Rousey isnt the UFC's biggest star, Jones is. Jones is more of a PPV draw. Only time Rousey did big PPV draws was riding on the back of Weidman/Silva rematch, which would have sold a mill by itself.

When i bring up PPV you say "why dont you compare Jones to other PPV fighters" when you brought up the comparison C. Ive already said countless times that the top guys in boxing make more/draw higher PPV's. Well Mayweather anyways and depending on opponent Pacman as well. Am i missing anything?
Mar 14, 2015 What's with the fixation on basic purses? If you're a PPV star in any sport, basic purse means f--- all. If BR doesnt do PPV, then you just have to compare their total purses. Your comparison is stupid for the point you were trying to make and you could've picked a better one.
Mar 14, 2015 ROFL The fixation is: Rios makes more than JJ without the PPV. RIos is not a ppv fighter Rios is a piece of s--- brawler. Rios still makes more $$$ than most ufc fighters which is laughable. Packy, May, Canelo all make more than JJ without PPV, with PPV rev. included it's a no contest.
Mar 14, 2015 So do you not see that you're comparing apples and oranges for no reason whatsoever? If all your purse is independent of a percentage cut, then it stands to reason that you'd probably get a bigger 'base' pay (I say base but it's actually just total pay) to offset that. If you get percentage points, then that more or less s----s all over needing a basic pay. ..I dont really know what else to say about this particular point because you're obviously going to keep going round in circles. As for everything else, I honestly didnt realise boxers got paid so little outside the bona fide stars. I guess I just took it for granted growing up.

There's an entire dynamic of the fights that buffer them from brain damage. Going 15 rounds was pretty much Alzheimer bait. It's a waiting game, sure, but there are options. It's definitely not hushed up as much like in boxing either. Rogan pretty much told Schaub he should get out while he's still got a frontal lobe. Mar 14, 2015 Lol, yeah a Pride fighter. That stretch of MMA is over in the UFC. Nobody fights like that anymore. Anybody paying half attention could tell you that. The Keith Jardines of the game have been extinct.
