Jun 2, 2019 To explain what I mean: songs that were mentioned but never (really) happened. So, not unreleased songs or 'those 2 were in the studio together once' but actual songs that didn't happen -yet- for a reason u really wanted to hear. Drake - Pop Style ft. The Throne Yeah I know, technically this one did happen. But what a f---ing waste... I love this song. Both Drake and Ye delivered, but imagine Jay adding an actual verse...... Nas - Daughters ft. Jay Z & Eminem What a collab this would have been. Eminem never lets his fans down when he makes songs about his family and Jay, well, almost never lets his fans down. This could have been amazing. Too bad Jay and Em passed because they were 'too busy' smh. Young Thug - Old Town Road where is it Thug??
Jun 2, 2019 This isn't a song but if Pac did Death Row East, definitely some phenomenal s--- would've happened there. Apparently Pac & Nas were in the talks of making a joint album for Death Row East. Wu Tang & BDK were going to sign there too. Pac was gonna do a lot of s---. Anyway On Topic. Gibbs & T.I. were supposed to do songs together, until Jeezy started to get involved with Gibbs. Heard a lot of things about Pac & Lil Wayne making a song together, idk if it's 100% true though.
Jun 2, 2019 its weird how none of the hyped up supergroups ever really worked out like they were supposed to. I remember being insanely hyped when the HRSMN (Canibus, Kurupt, Ras Kass, Killah Priest) back in the day but nothing ever really materialised. The Firm flopped, Slaughterhouse was a dud. CRS was 1 song lol. I guess some of the more underground supergroups kinda worked (Army of the Pharohs, La Coka Nostra) but nothing thats ever been as huge as promised.
Jun 2, 2019 I didn't win 'best thread starter' for no reason last year But yeah like I said we need to get discussion started, people will post.
Jun 2, 2019 I don't know about Jay but Em passed on that song because he didn't feel like he wanted to talk about his children anymore. That was right after Recovery in 2011 or smh. He really didn't talk about that personal stuff until Revival...
Jun 2, 2019 Yeah and then he made castle, in ur head, arose, a------, bad guy, headlights... all songs that are about or mention his family. A song w Jay, Nas and Em could have been amazing imo
Jun 2, 2019 I don't think it follows the rules Myers said in the op but whatever i don't care..i wish Pac and Eazy E did a song..2 of my favorites, both rapping at the same time, didn't have any issues with each other and even met at least once..would've been crazy.
Jun 2, 2019 i got a bunch of examples that i cant remember rn but ill return when it comes to me off top if nav released Habits with uzi as a lead single it wouldve been a hit
Jun 2, 2019 Not a song, but it's an absolute travesty that the Outkast/Tribe Called Quest album that was in the works a few years back was never finished. Hearing re-energised Tribe and reunited Outkast together would've been historic.
Jun 2, 2019 Daughters with Jay and Em could have been great. Imagine turning down working with Nas and Jay on a song.... jesus. Nas probably has a ton. Never got a full version of 'The Curse', though he reused the verse down the line. He had a DJ Khalil beat for a song called Colours that never released. I remember hearing a snippet and it sounded pretty cool. There's that Eminem snippet in "The Kiss" skit, and god knows what else from his prime days. 'Keys to the City' probably s----d if it existed, but it still feels wrong that Em hasn't rapped on a Premo beat. As a Relapse/Alchemist fan I'd like to hear 'Insult to Injury' one day too. Dr. Dre's vault needs raiding. At least for 'Hey Young World' A Slaughterhouse/TDE track was tossed around wasn't it? I'd have been down for that.
Jun 2, 2019 Kung Fu Kenny and Jermaine Cole, these mofos should drop that CDQ of Temptation Dr.Dre - Hey Young World - f--- Dre for not releasing that (and Detox) Kung Fu Kenny x Dr.Dre - Pyrex / It's Alive Dr.Dre x Eminem - Die Hard (hardest s--- ever if released)
