Typical Pittsburgh this time of year, cool windy night no one wants to go out to the park. Last night was 100 times worse, the Penguins playoff game was on and I'd say at least 80% of the stadium was empty.

I went to school at WVU in back in the day. Pitt was a 45 minute drive so me and a few friends went to a game there. It was a weekday, we paid $5 for tickets (some kind of promotion) for upper deck and it was so dead we were able to go down behind the visitors dug out. I was like 20 rows behind Barry Bonds big head poking out. Granted they really s----d back then, but for how much money they put into that stadium it was a shame to see it so empty.

You can still get tickets for under $10 in the grandstands on Stubhub (on weekdays, weekends are around $20 minimum). The 2nd game of the season they had a promotion where they had tickets for $1. Got 6 tickets and paid $10.25 after fees.

The park isn't as empty as it was back then, especially once summer starts, but it isn't a sell out every game or anything like that. I usually go to 10-20 games a year.

That's cheap as h---. It's a football city so you expect other sports to take a hit but that was the nicest new stadium I had been in up to that point

I wouldn't even consider it a football town, it's as fair weather of a town as it gets. If the Steelers put together 2-3 losing seasons in a row you will start to see lots of empty seats at Heinz Field.

Had no idea snow was in the forecast, since its almost May. Price has gotten me negative a million fantasy points, priced as the 2nd most expensive starter tonight. Should have went with Kershaw.....

Either did I. It's a disaster. 6-4 in a first inning that went almost an hour. It's not snowing hard but its way too cold to pitch

John Lackey is making it his goal to singlehandedly bring down the Cardinals' league leading ERA right now. He can't pitch on the road. Just gave up a 5-0 lead in one inning.

How's Craig and Kelly been for you guys? I have to admit I don't follow much baseball outside of the Cardinals. Both of them (moreso Craig) showed a lot of promise in St. Louis the past couple of years.

Kelly has been our best pitcher and is pitching great again tonight. Allen Craig is literally just taking up a roster spot, hes probably our 6th outfielder and thats w/o taking Rusney Castillo into consideration.

d---, when we traded them I thought Craig would be the standout of the two.

Anyways, Cards ended up avoiding choking up the 5-0 lead and won 7-5. I'm super excited about Cardinals baseball this season.
