    Orioles betting on Chris Davis to hit 50 HR's again and the pitching to be just as good as last year is sad.

    Got an update to my phone yesterday saying they were looking at 62 year old Ichiro Suzuki :'(

    This would be amazing and funny at the same time. Hes from san diego which would make it great and funny because he was quoted a few years ago when asked if hed ever come back home an sign with the Padres he said no because they will never be good in the span of his playing career.

    Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio inducted into the Hall of Fame. Pedro to me was the best pitcher of all time for the short while he was in his prime, just absolutely electric stuff. From 99'-00' he won 41 games, had 597 K's and a 1.90 ERA, thats in the middle of the steroid era. I was lucky enough to see him pitch 5 times while he was with the Sox.

    Anyways kinda surprised there has been so little talk on Scherzer, would have expected him to be signed by now. Supposedly James "Big Can" Shields has a 5 year/$110 mill offer on the table from someone in the AL East. Sounds like the Yankees to me.

    Scherzer is looking for way too much money I guess till, he has to realize the numbers hes looking for at his age are not worth it to any team out there. There has been nothing on him lately and think he may go back to DET on a modest offer realizing he won't get what hes looking for.
    As a Yankees fan I wanted Max over anyone but not at the money hes looking for. Shields scares me even on a 5 year deal since hes already 33 and possibly in his declining years as a pitcher. I'm not sure Yanks will end up getting anyone else to be honest the way they've been doing things. Its all very interesting tho

    I dont think the Yankees should sign anyone else and should bite the bullet this year because literally nobody comes off their books after next season. All the guys they are paying big money too are locked up for multiple more years. Teixeira, C.C., Tanaka, Ellsbury, A-Rod, McCann, Beltran, Gardner, Headley and Miller. Thats something like 180 million tied up into 10 players.

    Smoltz could have had a chance to be one of the best starting picthers of all time if the braves didnt split his time between being a starting pitcher and closing pitcher. The all time greatest picther is Greg Maddux though
