    S/o to this rag tag group of Americans who decided to actually show up to the WBC.

    I get elite pitchers not showing up and risking injury but would be cool to see the best of the best position players out there.

    I can see why they wouldn't...Why risk an injury if you have a huge contract. Unfortunately there's not a good time for it. After the season players bodies are shot from the grind and weeks before a season starts could give you a serious or nagging injury that you're stuck with the rest of the season.

    But I'd imagine after the popularity of this year we'd see some more decent players in the next one
