Retired from Kickboxing after this.



Hes been boxing in the DR and Mexico this past year crushing absolute cans. Hes 9-0, would think he starts fighting guys with actual pulses soon. Its too bad he never got to the UFC, I know he was in talks with them but it never panned out and then the injury happened.

Gokhan Saki is making his UFC debut in Japan in September so that should be interesting.

Mike Perry vs Thiago Alves and Hector Lombard vs Anthony Smith both re-booked for Fight Night show in Pittsburgh on September 16th. Both were originally supposed to fight on the original 215 card in Seattle on August 19th, before it was canceled.

It's still bs that Seattle isn't getting a make up date, s---...They were supposed to get a PPV now they aren't getting s---, lol. Was probably gonna go to that show.

Watched O'Malley's fight that went the full 3 rounds to see how well rounded he is. Kid is definitely explosive, but he kind of ran out of ideas and did get tied up on the ground a bit. Exciting style regardless. Interested in both bantamweights that have came on so far.

He'd still be suspended by the date of the MSG show, rumor is he's planning on going back when his WWE contract ends in April. It's WM31 all over again lol

When he retired in February they put a freeze on his suspension, so now that he's re-entered the USADA testing pool he has to serve the last 5 months of his suspension, meaning he wouldn't be able to fight until December

Anyone watch the HBO Real Sports story on Chechnya, Kadyrov's mma team, and his alleged persecution of h----------s? f---ing crazy stuff.



on another note, I've seen this thrown around a bit, Rogan has also said it. What do you guys think about Bellator rebranding? Would it help, hurt, or not change anything?

I'm kinda glad WSOF changed their horrible name. We'll see if the name and new business model work out for them.

I personally think that Bellator is a stupid name, and if done right they could really change their perception to the casual fan and hardcore. It just sounds like the B league to the UFC.
B-ellator, B-league.

Joe has said just call it Spike MMA. Like boxing you don't need the promotion's name, just call it what it is.
Not sure if I agree about that, anyway Spike is becoming the Paramount network so I think this is a perfect opportunity to switch things up.

If they do, please no more acronyms.

UFC 213 supposedly did 130K buys, can't imagine this does all that much more especially so soon after May/Mac being priced the way it is.

Good enough card to garner my interest with the 2 title fights, JDS/Ngannou, Stephens/Melendez, Cejudo/Reis, Latifi/Pedro etc.

I haven't seen the HBO thing but I've been following the sketchyness of what goes on with the whole Russian MMA scene. The funny money that they throw around out there is crazy.

Karim Zidan has been writing about the Kadryov stuff for years. I remember Fedor bashing Kadryov for putting on those child fights in AKhmat and then like the next day his daughter got assaulted coming how from school.

redsoxx, I highly recommend checking out the interview, Karim was a major contributor to the piece. He was on Press Row w/ Jordan Breen on Sherdog, he has been working with the guy from HBO since October 2016 on this.

It just really just blew me away. the whole mma propaganda thing is genius and sinister as f---. Kadryov is crazy, at the end of the interview he basically threatens America, then is like if the US nukes us, our nukes will automatically detonate, we will take the whole world with us...

Was @ VFC58 this past weekend in Omaha, Nebraska.

My buddy fought & I went along to help out with weight cut and other misc things. Let me tell you, if you've never been present for a weight cut, it's pretty horrifying & my buddies cut went smooth.

Oh & he won his fight, too.
