Eminem MMLP2 Once Again...

    It was hot summer of 2013 when Marshall Mathers announced his new studio album - The Marshall Mathers LP 2 - People went bananas. First MMLP was a classic album, so people's expectations were tremendous.



    Boom! Album dropped and here we are. It seems like most of people didn't enjoy the album, so my question is...

    What went wrong? What should've Marshall do to make this album to be as good as people's expectations? What would you change? Do you think album wasn't so huge because of it's name? Let's talk.

    The title. It's the same reason everyone seems to hate the Devil's Night Mixtape. Change the title and people may have just liked it a little more tbh.

    No. People didnt like Devils Night Mixtape because D12 is a---.. especially without Eminem

    Mediocre. We need to ban discussion about this album tbh it's 's--- album' vs 'classic' mostly

    When I first heard it, it was to me his second best LP (right behind TES). I still think it's great, probably still behind TES.

    Honestly yes. Tracks like Bad Guy, Rap God, Brainless, Legacy, Evil Twin, Wicked Ways and Don't Front are just as great as any songs from TES.

    if people get stuck in a title its pretty lame..
    I only had the title in mind when he did the throwbacks and revisitations on some tracks.

    I remember i was satisfied when i first heard it and the many more times that followed till i got everything from the lyrics and stuf.

    BUT unfortunately some bad beats always k--- replay value more

    I would say the title is the problem. The album is really good. I'd argue its a classic especially when adding the bonus tracks. However it no where near as good as the original. And considering its a sequel, we are of course going to compare it to the original and if you do that, its complete s---. But, looking at it as a standalone album, its not the best by any means, but its pretty d--- good

    Best post hiatus album if it was trimmed down a couple tracks it'd be even better

    His 4th best album, but only because the other 3 are classics. I wouldnt say it is a classic but it is a very good album imo
