May 21, 2022 Head up, chest out Silence, I'm stressed out Shh, be quiet, I'm stressed out Stressed out, stressed out, stressed
May 21, 2022 fr, Dawn FM was #1 or #2 depending on the chart, Kendrick just went #1, how are these flops?
May 21, 2022 I'm officially giving up on talking to marsh about flops because I gave him an example of a recent post Malone song that objectively did not flop and he just ignored it and said post malone singles flopped. Also The Weeknd didn't flop. It's a universally praised album with no prior singles to boost the streams. If an album is good it's not a flop in my eyes. Weeknd underperformed commercially but he delivered an amazing album. So who gives a f--- lol
May 21, 2022 Don't argue with marsh, he has made up/inconsistent metrics in his head that only he understands
May 21, 2022 Successful artists can flop too. It's ok if you are disappointed lol but saying Kendrick didn't flop is just lying. The album just has no replay value imo, so it's normal.
May 21, 2022 lol so you guys expected Kendrick to only do 279K first week? lol no way. It's Kendrick, not Future.
May 21, 2022 Also known as? And no prior what? Take My Breath? I also think the album could have been better, some songs like Wayne's collab are mid imo Which song? Cause the singles didn't do well (Post). I must have missed it.
May 21, 2022 Also wanna reiterate that while Kendrick is geberally very good at album arrangement and delivering a holistic experience, so is carti. Whole Lotta Red still AOTY three years running and is def better than the Kendrick album and it's not close even tho I like the Kendrick album
May 21, 2022 I didn't expect any numbers because I don't follow or anticipate numbers unless I see them when people post them here. I don't care about them, I only care about the music itself and find it interesting to discuss the art and see how fans vs critics receive the music. But future is also one of the most popular rappers in the world so I don't understand the comparison?
May 21, 2022 Marsh genuinely confused right because you care more about the music itself rather than numbers and sales marsh sitting there calling you a dumbass lmfao
May 21, 2022 You don't even have to follow numbers, Kendrick should have doubled those numbers easily just for being Kendrick.
May 21, 2022 I've said that I like Dawn FM or Side B for example. And both didn't do well. I don't care about the music when it comes to Kendrick cause I didn't like the album. And yes I tried to listen twice. Just don't care about it at all.
May 21, 2022 Reminds me of pop stan accounts that constantly post about Bieber and Drake and Doja Cat (all artists I like to be clear) and try to boost their sales and defend them against any minor criticism. Like I don't think they need your help bro lol. Drake charted with a song that says "you a lesbian girl me too" I think he's fine when it comes to sales
May 21, 2022 You guys are defending a flop and it's cool, just saying that it's still a flop. I don't care if it's Kendrick, Post or Tinashe. Kendrick is too overrated in rap to do these numbers
May 21, 2022 I literally have no current frame of reference for what numbers rappers do so no I don't know and I don't care. I just looked up d--- sales and he did 600k with his highest selling single ever dropping beforehand + a song with Rihanna. This album doesn't have that and isn't very commercial friendly other than a few songs. Virtually every song on d--- could be on rap caviar
May 21, 2022 I genuinely do not understand marsh god bless people like DKC and hargy who give him the time of day with actual replies trying to get through to him
May 21, 2022 ok let's try this: what is your definition of a flop? Is it numbers only? Critical response? Fan response? viral discussion on social media? All of those? Some of them? None of those? What's the metric?
