Jul 29, 2015 Here is why I rated it so high. MMLP 2 - I know the hate this album gets on here, so hear me out. Production wise, it's a mess and there's nothing important addressed here or any theme going on, unlike most of his albums. I don't think some songs are all that great either. I wasn't feeling So Much Better (I liked it at first, but now I pretty much see it as a better version of Puke with a few good references, but that's about it), Love Game (I don't really care for Kendrick Lamar, but I have heard his Control verse, and this track is NOTHING compared to that), So Far (once again, a few good references but it fell flat with me, especially the first verse with all the toilet humor), and Stronger Than I Was (it feels SO out of place on this album), and Groundhog Day (repetitive beat, cannot even understand what Em is saying), but I was feeling tracks like Bad Guy, Rap God, Legacy, Brainless, Don't Front, and Headlights. Those tracks are amazing and very impressive. Bad Guy for being a worth sequel to Stan, Rap God for he creativity and speed, Brainless for that classic feel, Don't Front also for a classic feel, but in a different way than Brainless, Headlights for finally apologizing to his mom. Tracks like Rhyme or Reason, Bezerk, Survival, Wicked Ways, and The Monster are also fun too, so that's why I see this as his second best album.
Jul 29, 2015 Sometimes I feel i'm being too generous on the album, because there were a lot of songs I didn't like, but at the same time I did really like most tracks and they show off Em's skills. Rap God, Legacy and Bad Guy obviously had a lot of effort and passion put into them, and those are impressive just as much as Rock Bottom or Stan, so for the most part, yes. I think MMLP 2 is just as good as SSLP, MMLP and TES. The only thing this album doesn't have is features, skits and a consistent theme. Recovery isn't on the level of MMLP or TES, but it's still a great album, mainly for having a consistent theme and great tracks. One again, the problem is that there are no skits, and this time too many featurings. That is it though, everything else is in check, and Em's flow and voice are a whole lot better than MMLP 2 in my opinion.
Jul 29, 2015 i tried so hard to think of lyrics to match the post of yours im sorry Final i failed you
Jul 29, 2015 Why does everyone love TES so much?.. it's literally not his best album..lol MMLP is his opus, and SSLP is even better than TES..
Jul 29, 2015 Because it's lyrically better, and has one of..if not his best song of all time.. "Stan" if you look at it, it's all about preference really. imo the album is perfect in every way, even the weakest song "Under The Influence" is great I just prefer the 99-2001 era eminem-- I really like TES, but I don't understand why it's over MMLP, but that goes back to what I previously said, it's all about preference.
