Aug 21, 2020 Really loved this project. Hit-Boy was fantastic on the boards and gave Nas the beats he deserved. Nas didn't feel out of place over these beats for a second. Lyricism was also nice. Liked how he handled the pro-Black theme, had a few songs about women & relationships, talked about his own life, success and fame and the narrative he weaved all this really well in form of a storybook. Great how three different generations of hip hop (90s, 10s and 20s) got their shine on a Nas album, all of these at once and it didn't feel out of place at all. Fivio's verse was terrible though. King's Disease, Blue Benz, Ultra Black, Full Circle, 10 Points, All Bad and The Curse are some strong highlights. 8.6/10.
Aug 21, 2020 I always wonder how these artists go about deciding their cover art "Like yea give me a renaissance vibe and definitely do NOT leave out the little naked kids. They're crucial."
Aug 21, 2020 Not bad first listen. Better than Nasir. The Firm track should've had Dre production...nothing really wrong with it, just kind of boring. The Cure beat with that switch is fire tho. Def my favorite track
