    Yeah I always heard people saying someone got ethered and I knew it was because if this I just never got around to it

    The song is also good for a diss I don't know much about the Jay and Nas beef other than the fact that it happened but this seems pretty dismantling of Jay's character at that time

    Ether is great and it was a huge blow but jay dropped a few songs that were at least as hard tbh

    I think its interesting to find an article or wikipedia lol to look at the history of these songs / the beef etc. Like the one, super ugly, jays mom told him to apologize for it because it was so brutal lol.

    Takeover is really good. Ether was better. Jay had already lost when he put out the other songs. He sounds like the loser on Blueprint 2 to me. By contrast, Nas sounds like he knows he won on 'Last Real n----- Alive'.

    Actually heard Takeover for the first time yesterday. Had some nice bars, but I prefer Ether overall as a track.

    I love both, Ether and Takeover, but I kinda enjoy Ether more, it's more raw and I love the beat. Prefer Jay-Z though

    I think Ether is miles ahead of takeover but that’s me. Ether is a song that I will never skip and it always gets turned up as soon as it comes on.

    I mean Hov did come thru with the facts about Nas releasing 1 classic in 10 years, Dead Presidents being a better song than world is yours, and:

    Nas just called him a fa---- for half of Ether.
