Would love for the Bulls to make a move and grab him even though I know they wont. Maybe I'm just a sucker for high flyers with busted knees
This is very interesting though
From somebody on Reddit
Only slight difference is Rose is much more fluid and flexible, especially around the rim. Basically the same size except Rose has a 6'8" wingspan vs 6'3" for Smith.
That boy a Rose stan too
The idea of playing for the Knicks intrigued Dennis Smith Jr. But not as much as teaming up with Derrick Rose. That truly appealed to the ACC Rookie of the Year, one of college basketball’s top prospects.
“I’m a Derrick Rose fan, so I’m not going to say they need a point guard,” the gifted 6-foot-2 Smith said Monday after N.C. State practiced at Barclays Center in advance of Tuesday’s ACC Tournament opening round. “I like Derrick Rose a lot.
“That would be exciting,” he said, about potentially playing alongside the Knicks point guard, who will be a free agent this summer. “Derrick Rose is somebody I watched a lot of, and I got a lot of respect for him. I definitely could [see myself playing in New York City]. It would be great.”

Are they a legit 1 seed? Of course not lol. I agree with @YDB that they're pretenders. However, I do think they have a slim possibility of an upset or two. I think they should beat anyone in the first round. However, I don't see them beating any teams in 4 or 5 games. I think we're looking at 6 or 7 game series in any round.
And even though we got destroyed by the Cavs, I still think we have a shot against them, although very slim. We missed A LOT of wide open shots in that game, and for some reason, the defense looked sluggish, which it usually doesn't.
I think the Celtics can compete with anyone when they're on their A game.asvdawg, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Poohdini and 2 others like this. -

Lavar Ball didn't even say anything crazy
“The monsters in the NBA, their dads wasn’t that good,” Ball said. “They were OK, they was players, but the fact that the old [Dell] Curry wasn’t no All-Star, he wasn’t cold. He could s---t the ball, though. Kobe Bryant, his dad wasn’t all that, that’s why he’s such a monster.
“You got LeBron, it’s going to be hard for his kids because they are going to look at them like, ‘You got to be just like your dad.’ And after a while, that pressure starts sitting on you like, ‘Why do I got to be just like him? What can’t I just be me?’ And then they are going to be like, ‘Aw, you’re soft, you’re not that good.’ Because the expectation is very, very high.”
Lebron's super dad act is corny. Hes the one who brought up his kids after Joakim Noah chirped him.

If I were them I'd go for Monk. Reminds me of a 6'3" JR Smith. Mostly a scorer but next to Simmons he wouldn't have to create much anyway.Zanni, Ordinary Joel, Jakey and 2 others like this. -
