Durant will be the same great player he always is, might take a few games but I doubt that even.

Also anyone who thinks the Thunder will miss the playoffs is crazy lol, they're only 4.5 games out of 8th. They will easily make the playoffs.

in no way shape or form are the raps elite. #1 they're in the east and the disparity between the west/east is especially bad this year. #2 while i like what they've done and how they're setup for the future they don't actually have a "star" so to speak. they don't really have that "gunner" that you need. and nowadays you need multiple legit guys to get it done. #3 while their record is commendable they've had a really easy schedule so far. of their 12 wins they beat orlando twice, a beat up okc, lakers, philly, utah, bucks, atlanta twice, and boston. the only 2 impressive wins imo were against memphis and washington. and imo their record will dramatically reverse since derozan is out. they already lost the 1st 2 without him and probably will tonight.

im starting to hop aboard the thought that the league really needs to redo the playoff structure. i think it should be the best 16 teams period. screw conferences. im not coming down on the east cause they were a lot better than the west at one point, but as a whole they've been bad for a while. it's honesty not fair to teams who have 48/49 wins who miss the playoffs in the west, but teams with 34 wins make it in the east.

I'm from Toronto but I've always been a Knicks fan. Every single one of my friends (and most people in Toronto) Think the Raptors are making it all the way to the ECF some even think the finals. I don't think the Raptors are as good as they think. I doubt they'll make it to the ECF. Good start for them non the less but I don't consider them an elite team. They are lucky to be in the East.

Truth is even the Lakers would probably be a top 6 team in the east if they played there lol, that conference has been a joke for over a decade now other than 2 or 3 teams max each year.

I really only see the Cavs as a serious contender from the east this year, Chicago MAYBE but I don't think they can stay healthy and even if they are, some people overrate them.

Toronto could maybe make it to the ECF but I don't see any chance they make it to the finals unless the Cavs have serious injury issues in the playoffs.
