I guess what i meant to say is at least for this upcoming yr w/ IT playing for a max and obviously lebron being there

But yea Crowder's contract and the BK pick set them up for after lebron leaves

Stupid trade for both sides tbh. But w/e they're pretty identical players. Short scrappy dudes with killer offensive will but don't play any defense. Not sure why Boston made this trade unless they were really freaked out about IT's health

Cavs easily win with this trade. Really glad they got a a nice haul for Kyrie. Respect to the man who hit the most iconic shot in Cavs history. Still sad & dissapinted to see him go though. Especially to the Cavs biggest contender in the east.

Cavs didn't win this trade, but it's as good as they could've done. They both came out good. Celtics get an arguable top 5 scorer in the NBA at 25(?) years old for IT who would've demanded a max contract with health concerns, height concerns, and age concerns. Also got rid of Crowder, which, with Brown showing a lot of defensive potential and the trade for Morris, isn't really a huge loss. I think losing Zizic could potentially hurt them because their big men depth is weak, but it's not the end of the world in today's small ball NBA. The Brooklyn pick hurts too, but they chose the right time to trade it because the Nets might sneak out of the bottom 5 this year, but I could still see it being a top 5 pick. Losing Lopez will potentially hurt them.

I can't wait for opening night in the NBA now. Celtics vs. Cavs. Too bad I have a night class as well as work till midnight. About to switch shifts with someone pronto.

Having time to think about it more I think both sides came out as winners.

The Cs probably did not want to give IT a 5 yr max given his age. Kyrie fits the long term future of this team better. Crowder had to go to give more minutes for Tatum and Brown. The pick was the only aspect of the trade that was questionable but trading for a proven player w/ superstar potential is better than having a potential high pick that has a higher probability of producing a solid nba player than it does a player if Kyrie ilk.

The Cavs gained flexibility w/ this trade. They can see how the Bron/Love/IT trio work. They can the pick, IT, and/or Love for players that'll help them compete now. Or they can simply play this season out, let Bron and IT walk, trade Love, and rrbuild around the Brooklyn pick which should be a top 3 pick.

Cavs could get picks/future assets for both IT and Love around the trade deadline if they'd want to. But they'll likely still be at a good enough record to where they'll decide to play the season out instead..probably a bad move imo cuz they probably won't beat the celtics and almost definitely won't beat the warriors if they get there.

I can definitely see the cavs destroying the celtics. They still have the best player in the series and I think Kyrie will be exposed for the player he really is, a great scorer that doesn't really do much else. Love would need to step up big this season for them to have a chance against the Warriors though.

Cavs over Celtics in 6 at most. Even with Hayward & Kyrie, that's not taking down the Cavs IMO.

Cavs gonna have chemistry issues too though imo, plus if things go poorly Bron might mentally check out a bit and start thinking bout free agency..Things won't be easy for them this year, I'd give the Celtics the edge at this point, they'll be more fired up to beat em too.

GOAT Stevens has taken role players and turned them into all stars/studs, interested to see what he can do with already established all stars.

^Who cares tbh, either team would get destroyed by the Warriors still.

I got Boston winning the east tho.
