Oct 26, 2016 eh, i'm not interested in hypebeast rap or that fake gangsta slim jesus trash. i try and write songs and make some real and complex hip hop to vibe to. that hook has nothing to do with any kind of "killing" that you were probably thinking of. that's not the only line in the hook and without the rest there's less clarity to it. eh, travis is dope and he prolly would sound dope on this instrumental but eh, i like my vocals on this s--- more because i'm not trying to be anyone else. it's my song and i made it my own. eh, i don't understand the first sentence in your post. completely confused me there lol overall man, if you don't really like the song then eh, i don't actually mind. it's totally fine if you don't f--- with it, thanks for listening anyway. Oct 28, 2016 yeah i definitely rambled on a bit there, sorry about that it's all love tho. but no trust me i definitely didn't think you actually LIKE slim jesus, it was more so that i felt a comparison being made or something. but i'm 1000000% not interested in making that type of music that he made. don't get me wrong, the real g s--- is dope and i'll listen to it from time to time, but that's just not my style. those aren't my influences. i'm more inspired by artists like outkast, danny brown, mick jenkins, chance the rapper, etc.
Oct 31, 2016 it's just related to the mood of the specific song i'm on, that one's quite bluesy in tone/themes, lyrically, etc. but let me allow the avi-related irony give me a little chuckle. you should check out some of my other songs for different vocal deliveries. i go with the flow and vocally/tonally approach a song based on that specific song. it could vary a lot depending on the emotion i'm tryna carry across. rapping that has a soul behind it has always been some of my favorite. but yeah i just dropped a posse cut, you should give that a listen and see what i'm talking about.
