Aug 4, 2016 was the original idea on the sidebar to make the icon show up inline with the title? i.e., to cut off the title by like 4 chars when hovering to make room for the new window icon?
Aug 4, 2016 yeh... i think we need to clean it up (how'd you do it on the app theme?), and then retire EXTRA.css and create an EXTRA2.css and start using that instead...even if we clean it up enough as to where it's not problematic/slow now, we're gonna continue to build on it and it will eventually get to the place it's at again today (long & slow). might as well be proactive about it eh?
Aug 4, 2016 Yeah, with the way I tried to do it. But the icon only appears if the entire title fits, not after the ellipses.
Aug 4, 2016 word. i might play with that a little more, but it's def lower on my list of things since it works well now.
Aug 4, 2016 so this sidebar thing is new, believe it or not ive never been on the desktop version of the site until yesterday, probably my favorite feature that isnt on mobile
Aug 4, 2016 I have recently just been adding the css where it relates to, ie thread_view.css when I'm doing something that only applies to a thread. that way it's spread out and won't eventually be slow. and it's always searchable the way I did it with the app was to open the document twice in sublime and manually compare top of one doc to bottom of the other, to find where the duplicates started. and to make sure nothing that needs to be there was removed. it took about an hour I think
Aug 4, 2016 sidebar was always there on the homepage on desktop (same with mobile, actually [not app] -- at the very bottom on mobile), but the new enhancement is that it's now on all pages so you can be viewing/posting in one thread and see what's popping in real-time elsewhere throughout the forum.
Aug 5, 2016 whoever fixed the sidebar running away from my mouse when I scrolled up and down the page I appreciate it good fix
