A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Adams would welcome a trade to one of seven teams: the Baltimore Ravens, the Dallas Cowboys, the Houston Texans, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.

    @Boos @Sign Language @Enigma

you guys want your squads to trade for Adams?

As cool as that would be Bill O’Brien would probably trade Watt and Watson for Adams.

I don’t see Watson signing a big extension with Houston unless Bill O’Brien goes. If this dude is about winning as much as he says he is, why the f--- would he stay with such a f----- organization? I bet there are a few teams plotting to scoop him up when the time comes.

I just don't see this happening to be honest. I don't understand the issue? It's an outdoor sport which has been proven to be the biggest issue (outdoor Vs indoor). It can be played behind closed doors.

In the UK, Premiership football is being played again and were the second worst hit country with Covid in the world.

I guess all it takes is 1 player to have the virus and possibly spread it to be an issue...

if a player in the premier league gets covid19 while playing and spreads it or someone on the team actually dies...that’s when it will be a concern and Sports probably cancelled...

Starting to think there won’t be a season. Come flu season who the h--- knows what’s going to happen. I think the NBA will be a good blueprint to see how this works out.

To me the NFL hasn't been realistic about this situation from the beginning, they've been acting like everything would start on time for sure and that teams would play in filled up stadiums, doubt they even had much of a back up plan and now itll probably come back to hurt them.

Also I was thinking how close we were to not even having a super bowl this past year, if it had been just 3-4 weeks later that's when everything started shutting down and being cancelled. Imagine if NFL's previous season had to be paused during the middle of the playoffs lol, could be on hold still just like the NBA and NHL is now.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...-buccaneers-players-test-positive-coronavirus

At least two Tampa Bay Buccaneers players now have tested positive for COVID-19, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.

In a statement, the Bucs acknowledged positive tests, but did not state whether the results were for players or staff.

"The names of those impacted, as well as any additional information related to these incidents, will not be released due to privacy concerns," the team said in its statement.

One Bucs coach tested positive and two other assistants were quarantined, sources said earlier this week.

The unidentified Buccaneers assistant who tested positive is asymptomatic, sources said.

Completely agree, the closer we get to August, the more concern I will become with the NFL season...as of right now like you said...there is not a ba up plan...as far as we know...

but I’m sure Goddell/Owners talking about

they got lucky that it didn’t effect their season...but it will absolutely will this time around...bubble cities? To host the game?

I just don’t see the travel nfl teams do working in September...all it takes is 1 covid19 player to spread it and completely shut down the season...if a bunch more get it...or imagine a pro athlete dying from it...that would finish pro sports for a while

imagine a star player gets it... ie..Tom Brady

    LOL

would you do the Bears / Raiders trade for Khalil Mack....if you were a Bears fan? Let’s see how the draft picks turn out in Oakland lol

pretty much the same concept....the Jets are looking for

Nope! I’m pretty sure I went on record on here that it was a bad trade for Chicago/good for Oakland at the time too which was super unpopular.

I’m big on recognizing positional value. I think Adams is more valuable than Mack because coverage is more important than pass rush (at least that’s what almost all football analytics tells us) so I think a team trading for him is more arguable. At the same time though, draft picks are extremely valuable in this league, especially high round picks. The ability to draft young talented players & pay them pennies for 4-5 years while yielding the benefit of their quality on the field is unmatched.

Adams is worth a late 1st rounder imo. Or maybe like a mid/late 2nd or 3rd & a 5th? Anything more than that, you’re just overpaying. Cowboys also just signed Clinton-Dix & have Xavier Woods who are both #good. They aren’t Jamal Adams but they’re a solid safety duo.

    completely agree

value of draft picks are more important in today’s nfl game...like you said paying a rookie salary and getting his best years at a cheap price is what makes a team consistent winner. Baltimore defence has been consistent from draft picks every year....

you can draft a Jamal Adams every year in the 1st or 2nd rd and get great production in 4/5 years and then move on.

especially on a team like the Jets where they can save $ on Adams and get better role players to fill other positions...

Adams has had good years on a s-----y defence...I’m sure a playoff team that feels like Adams can get them over the hump will make the trade...but pointless for Jets to pay him...,send him to the Rams with Jalen Ramsey lol

@Enigma seems like the cowboys are the betting favourites at the moment lol unfortunately

I’d like to see him on the Ravens

Majority playoff teams looking to get over the hump

Even if you draft a safety in the 1st/2nd that’s good but not great like Adams, I rather have a good safety on a rookie contract than a great one on a big contract. At least that’s my mindset for the Cowboys. We have other players we’re going to need to pay in the near future too (Dak/Gallup).

Im not sure what the Jets cap situation is like but if they have a lot of cap space, they should just pay him. If you’re a team that doesn’t have a ton of talent & has a lot of cap space, you have more freedom to splurge a bit. Like I said before too, Adams is a coverage player & one of the best coverage Safeties in the NFL so paying him is more defensible. They could also let him walk & utilize that money elsewhere like you said. Not a bad idea either.
