Shouldn't have said we NEED AP. More-so that I want him back. I agree the running game isn't near our biggest problem, and I agree it's more likely that they will trade him with Teddy becoming the face of the franchise now. I just don't like how it's going down.

Agree, that game and the Broncos/Seahawks game from week 3 should be 2 of the best games all year. Also very excited for the Seahawks/Niners on Thursday, that's a huge one too. Great week for football.

Packers/Pats might top them all though, Brady and Rodgers have never even faced each other until this week, also wouldn't shock me if it's a super bowl preview. These 2 teams are playing better than anyone right now I think.

Rough road ahead for the Chargers. I would be surprised if they manage to pull it off, with the Broncos Patriots and 49ers coming, gonna put a good dent in their score.

Just a reminder for people to update their fantasy teams for this week asap, probably like now since there's 3 games tomorrow including an early one.

Cowboys/Eagles game today is so huge.... Cowboys need to just continue to do what they've been doing offense, Eagles lead the NFL in giving the ball away so we'll likely catch a couple breaks too.

Yeah I'd argue that game is bigger than Eagles/Cowboys game lol. Whoever loses that game likely isn't going to the playoffs.

Lol yeah.... 49ers have been shockingly disappointing this year though. I understand defensively they're missing several key players but their offense has struggled A LOT. Most niner fans I know are trying to blame Kaep and while I understand he hasn't played exceptionally your guys O Line has struggled throughout the season in pass blocking and Roman's play calling has been really suspect. This is the first year in a very long time that I've seen the 49ers avoid running the football and I don't understand why.

Teams are stacking the box and daring the 49ers to pass it. Problem is SF pass blocking is horrible and consistently give up sacks to 4 man rushes. SF desperately needs a WR that can be a deep threat.

I think you mean the NFC south, Packers are already 8-3 in the NFC north.

I heard a decent idea for keeping an average team out of the playoffs yet still favoring the divisional winners. Let the divisional winners make the playoffs as they do now unless that team is under .500. To me that makes sense cuz it keeps the basic system we have now unless the team can't even win 8 games, in which case they really don't deserve to be in the playoffs no matter what. I don't mind it if a better team is left out in favor of a divisional winner as long as that divisional winner is at least .500 but in extreme situations like this, I think there should be some sort of other rule. You can't totally erase the idea of divisions or else there will be less rivalries and it'll change things quite a bit.

They should just add an extra wild card spot to each conference and make it so the #1 seed are the only teams to get byes in the post season. The NFL is simply getting a lot more competitive, you're seeing teams like the Dolphins, Browns, etc. finally starting to get better and compete. I don't mind if a 8-8 or 7-9 team wins their division and gets into the playoffs, we saw not to long ago the Seahawks do the same thing and win a playoff game. Those teams that float around .500 tend to be better than people give them credit for and like I said NFL is simply getting more competitive.

Ahh yeah I was thinking south but typed north. Im ok with divisional winner getting in the playoffs. But they shouldn't get a home game. Current format, the NFCS winner would be the 4th seed. They should be the 6th imo.

I was honestly JUST thinking this exact thought to myself the last few days. It's pissing me off knowing the Cowboys are 8 - 3 and are looking at AT LEAST a 9 - 7 record (and that would be a huge collapse), more likely a 10-6 or 11-5, etc. record, and might not make playoffs while a team from the NFC South could be in with a 5 or 6 win season. It's bs tbh, and I was thinking to myself how you should HAVE to have at least a .500 season or you don't make make playoffs. Especially considering how s-----y the other teams are in their division, it would be embarrassing if they were to get into the playoffs (and have a home game) without winning at least 8 games. It would be a great rule to require that in addition to winning your division, you also must win at least 8 games or your spot goes to a wildcard team with a better record than you

Double post (since Arch Dogg isn't here yet to do a bunch)

a Bears win today would be huge for everyone in the NFC playoff hunt except Lions fans. Bears are the only team playing today that isn't really in the playoff hunt. Should be a great day of football!

I really hope the Falcons, Panthers or Saints make it into the playoffs with a 5-11 record. That would make me really happy.
