    I've been seeing reports that O'brien is trying to convert him to more of a pocket passer as opposed to a 50/50 qb.

    I agree. The Bengals lacked discipline, especially on defense. That falls on Marvin Lewis and it should get him fired. He's had a tremendous amount of talent over the years and it should have led to more success.

    As for Dalton, it's not really his fault he's not elite, but he did cap the potential of the Bengals. You can win with an average or slightly above average QB but you usually need an all time great QB. The Ravens, Broncos, and Seahawks did. I remember the Bengals D as being good but not to the level of those teams and not as good as the modern Texans. That's why I think they'll be a championship contender if Watt comes back healthy and Watson is at least average.

    Yeah he'll need to transform to a pocket passer. That 50/50 s--- doesn't work in the nfl. Coaches can try all they want to transform qbs it comes down to how they react in live nfl action.

    I don't like the cowboys but Dak is probably the best I've seen in a while for a younger guy being able to run when necessary but became a good pocket passer first. He avoids taking hits when he does run. I was surprised with him tbh.

    I think Watson will react well. O'Brien and Hopkins have said Watson is eager to learn, very open-minded, and takes advice well. Sounds like a boy scout tbh.

    @Sign Language is he definitely not starting the year as QB or are they just saying it's an open competition or something? They should at least give him a shot as the starter during training camp and preseason imo.

    Unless Savage plays extremely well and the team is winning I don't see how the Texans can justify not starting Watson

    My thoughts exactly. If savage starts I give him 6-8 games. O'Brien is always hesitant to bench a failing qb so that's why i say it may take up to game 8.

    IDK. With Savage, he's a known commodity. He isn't going to set the world on fire. I'd start Watson from day one and see what I have in him. I believe in Watson, I think he's going to be at least average one day 1.

    yeah, i never buy jerseys of rookie players, and I LOVE buying jerseys. but they're too expensive to buy and then the player is off the team 2-3 years later. i gotta see some consistency first! many people don't feel this way though, nflshop.com actually sells a bunch of rookie jerseys.

    i really hope watt returns to form. if he does, him and clowney will be a lot to handle

    In all honesty @Sign Language i don't hate players because they're not on my team

    Mainly their attitudes and the way they approach the game is deciding factor...for example I have close to no respect for Odel Beckham, yet Steve Smith is one of my favorite WRs ever and he torched the Bengals every game late in his career as a Raven.

    I think JJ's personality is manufactured

    Still a great player

    And maybe from an outsiders perspective his personality seems manufactured, but living in Houston and getting more coverage on him, I think he's genuinely a good guy.
