Did great work for the Eagles in developing Wentz. Tough loss for the birds but should be a pretty good add for you guys. Of course, you're gonna have to make a decision on a QB first

    Yup. They were both catches.

I see a lot of people comparing the Ertz catch with the Jesse James' catch, and they're not similar, same as the Dez catch.

Ertz caught it on the run, then dove for the end zone... He was a runner.

Jesse James (for some weird reason) jumped up in the air, caught it, then lunged to the goal-line while in the air.

Think of Jesse James' catch as a "diving catch". If you dive for a ball, it has to survive the ground.

The sequence is for Ertz is... "CATCH...1, 2 STEPS... DIVE"

    Jesse James is..

"leaves feet, catch, knee down, stretch, ball hits ground"

Therefore, there's no football move on James' part, and once the ball hits the ground, it's incomplete.

James was an idiot for leaving his feet, and even more of an idiot for diving.

Now, was the Clement one a catch?

It's seriously a toss up to me, but I was more f---ing upset that the Pats blew a double coverage on a God d---ed running back than the rules of it being a catch or not.

Yea the Ertz and James situations are totally different. Ertz was clearly a runner diving for the end zone.

With Clement I think he definitely caught it, got one foot in then adjusted the ball in his arm which caused movement and got his second foot in, just missing the third. Although it "moved," I never think he lost possession and anyone watching football for the first time would call that a catch. It's us longtime football fans that are so brainwashed, rightfully so, by these ridiculous rules defying logic that we are taught to think twice with these crazy rule definitions that we now throw out common sense lol.

Edit: I swore to god I was never gonna watch football again if they overturned Ertz and I really think that would have been it for me lol

Terrible move for Reich. The colts probably have the worst roster in the NFL
