I'm a huge Kobe fan and his kicks never disappoint on or off the court. The 11th version is dropping tomorrow and the 1st colorway have been dubbed the "Achilles Heel". They will retail for $200.00.

See below for pictures (click the spoiler for more) & Nike's press release. These are a must cop for me and I'll probably end up grabbing them tomorrow morning.

What are your thoughts on the latest edition to Kobe's signature line? I'll update this thread as more colorways & release dates are made available.

The Kobe XI is a progressive low-top that distills Bryant’s signature legacy to its essence: high performance, lightweight, responsive and sophisticated design. Over 11 silhouettes, Bryant and Avar have set a high bar for personal narratives embedded in signature lines. The Kobe‘Achilles Heel’ is no different. The deep red and black shoe features subtle nods to the Greek hero Achilles, and Bryant’s own career arch.

Known to be invulnerable in all of his body except for his heel, Achilles’ ultimate demise resulted from an arrow to his weak point during the Trojan War. Consequently, the term 'Achilles heel,' was born. The Kobe 'Achilles Heel' features a graphic representation of the hero on the right heel, while the left features four-stitch marks representing the four feet of thread used in Bryant’s 2013 Achilles surgery.

Like the ancient greek warrior, Kobe was nearly invincible for most of his career. This collection recalls the superhuman effort that resulted in his injury- and his relentless drive that followed.

The Kobe XI is available to customize on NIKEiD starting January 9.

    "BHM"
A late entry to the Nike Sportswear Black History Month collection as the shoe just released this past weekend, the Nike Kobe 11 “BHM” is the first of the youthful style to implement multicolor Flyknit implementation.

In somewhat of a tricolored aesthetic, the Nike Kobe 11 “BHM” works a Game Royal front foot and a black heel whereas the midsection is woven together in a multi palette. “Power of One” is scripted at the insole while a white midsole matches that of the Swoosh.

The Nike Kobe 11 “BHM” drops on January 16. Check out a closer look below.

    Colorway: Multi-Color/White-Game Royal
    Style #: 822522-914
    Release Date: January 16, 2016

    "All Star"

Kobe Bryant will start in his final NBA All-Star Game next month in Toronto. On his feet will be the last “All-Star” edition of his signature shoe during his playing days, and we take a first look at them today.

Featuring a predominately black Flyknit base with contrasting Green Glow, a two-tone midsole finishes the look of this All-Star themed Nike Kobe 11. Surely not the last Kobe shoe we’ll see, but one that weighs heavy in sentiment.

    Colorway: Green Glow/Black-Persian Violet
    Style #: 822521-305
    Release Date: February 11, 2016
    Price: $220

    "Last Emperor"

As the curtains close on Kobe Bryant’s playing days, it signifies one of the greatest shooting guards of all time hanging it up for good.

Bryant, a player unlike any other, will never be replicated. That said, the Nike Kobe 11 “Last Emperor” is as fitting a moniker as any. Electing for an Oreo-like vibe, that can more actually be likened to the “Beethoven” Kobe 9’s, a monochromatic presence in black and white allows the Flyknit construction to shine, while red accents strike the heel and insole.

    Colorway: Black/White-Court Purple
    Style #: 822675-105
    Release Date: February 4, 2016
    Price: $200

    "Hyper Grape"

A pivotal transition in Kobe Bryant’s career is without doubt was his number change from 8 to 24. It marked a turning point in his Hall of Fame journey, and almost a halftime intermission in his Lakers legacy.

Nike Basketball pays tribute to this moment in time with the Nike Kobe 11 “Hyper Grape” edition. At the heel of the right shoe, 8 and 24 are separated by a colon, while the left shoe maintains the achilles markings. Wholly, a grape hue engulfs the low-cut Flyknit base while monochromatic black and white accents finish the look alongside a translucent midsole.

    Colorway: Hyper Grape/White-Black-University Gold-Bright Crimson
    Style #: 822675-510
    Release Date: February 27, 2016
    Price: $200

No this is the 1st time a new Kobe has debuted at this price. I believe the 9 & 10s were priced at $160, then a flynit version came out for each and those were $200. He's got a few other low budget models (Venomenon, Mentality) so it makes sense for his sig to be the best of the best right out the gate.
@Big Mitch like, you just f----- up your ankle or just a fear of low tops? In all honesty lows are just as secure as highs IMO.

My ankle is f----- up from low tops. Sprained it bad a few years ago wearing some low top KD's that my friend let me use for the day. Not only do I need the support, I'm just never going back lol.

Lol fair enough. I've had ankle issues in the past but I actually prefer the low tops nowadays.

Yeah they all are tbh. I copped the 1st pair the day after they dropped and have been dying to get another.

@Jet @Big Mitch @Flacko new colorways been dropping. If I had to rank them it'd go:
    All Stars
    Achilles Heel
    Hyper Grape
    Last Emperor
    BHM
