Jan 28, 2017 .. Do you still considered him "young"? Do you think he has contributed anything close to the two 90's artists?
Jan 28, 2017 Unless they have made music for the same number of years I don't see the point and or correlation between this... I mean Wayne is young as s--- at 34 and done more than all 3 combined. Thug has had more influence on the rap game than either Biggie or Tupac. They might have been bigger artists but Thug has easily contributed more to the current landscape of rap than they did back then
Jan 28, 2017 Lol at thug having a bigger influence on the rap game. That's just crazy and absurd. Pac and big were such a huge part of the culture that when they died hip hop wasn't the same for a long time. They both were heavily influential in different ways. How has thug even come close to what they accomplished or meant to hip hop?
Jan 28, 2017 Yes and idk perhaps not as much but he's made a more meaningful impact imo, meaning that while biggie influenced all of NY and Pac influenced most of the West Coast stylistically, Thug's had a broader impact than just ppl imitating him (which there are plenty of). Thug's broken down barriers re: gender roles in rap even more than MC Lyte or 3 Stacks ever did, and he's bridges both the generational gap (badu, birdman, 3k) and genre gaps (elton john, wyclef) far more than they did.
Jan 28, 2017 You say Young Thug, I say Tupac. You say OJ da Juiceman, I say Big Daddy Kane. You say Slim Jesus, I say Kool Moe Dee. You say DJ Unk, I say Kool Herc. LIKE IN 5 SECONDS OR YOUR MOM DIES!!!
Jan 28, 2017 Pac didn't really innovate in any way. Was pretty average at rapping too. Big might have changed the landscape of the mainstream if he kept on, so mainstream rap might have gone in a different direction, and young thug might not even be a thing. So maybe?
