    the vote for a U.S. presidential candidate made by the qualified voters,as opposed to that made by the electoral college.

    That's the actual vote by the people...not the electoral vote. So if she won the popular vote that would mean more Americans voted for her than Trump, but would still lose because the Electoral votes
