Jun 15, 2021 So my thoughts on this album: Production is glorious and it's great to hear REAL instruments but it's not a sound I would tend to return to that often just because I love the classic sound of what hip-hop is but doesn't stop me appreciating something like this. Natti absolutely steals the show lyrically and it's criminal he isn't featured more. Deacon must've been calling the shots here! I'd def listen again but it won't be something that gets spun multiple times in a row.
Jun 15, 2021 Alright boys, I'm leaving for now, I don't want to interupt your session with my shitposting, just tag me when yall decide what the next album is and I'll update the thread title and OP. I won't miss the next one! We also need to pick a date that fits everybody
Jun 15, 2021 Even though there are amazing instrumentals on the album the song with more rapping are a bit better. Since When, Beautiful, Hellfire..
Jun 15, 2021 Updated thread, maybe we should do this on Sunday but earlier? Or Saturday? Or Friday? Yall decide, Im all ears now
Jun 15, 2021 Underrated. For some reason people don't rank it very high in Cube's discography but it's got some real bangers. Looking forward to this.
Jun 15, 2021 Ok I'm done, this album was weird I like "Will Rap for Food" so I was excited to try this but it just didn't hit for me. Tracks 1-8 are all pretty nice along with hellfire and the instrumentals throughout are fantastic although sometimes it feels they don't always belong. As an over-all project if feels like it was a journey I just didn't go on but instead just hung around for.
Jun 15, 2021 I've never heard an Ice Cube project lol shows my age but I just see him as the friendly movie man. I think it'll be hard to take him seriously but Im down to give it an honest listen.
Jun 15, 2021 27, im not a little boy but I remember Ice Cube as a family man in all my K-Zone magazines.
