Jun 16, 2021 Metroid (along with Castlevenia) invented a game genre aptly called Metroidvania. It’s basically a 2D platformer/shooter where you’re going through these massive dungeons/landscapes that are all interconnected and you find new weapons and power ups to help you progress to new areas. It’s one of Nintendo’s flagship IPs. They also have 3D Metroid games that are 3D shooters
Jun 16, 2021 I had the original Game Boy when I was a young kid and have skipped all of Nintendo's consoles until the Switch. Tbh, I o KY got that because if the reviews BOTW was getting (and completely justified). Everything else I just find too young and/or arcady. I'll check out this though to see if I like it.
Jun 16, 2021 It’s actually sorta like zelda in a way cuz you need new weapons and power-ups to reach new places and defeat certain bosses. But different gameplay of course What types of games do you like besides zelda? I could prob recommend some if you’re interested!
Jun 16, 2021 Monkeyball is a great party game everyone can play, I played the s--- outta the GameCube one with my cousins as a kid. You never played Metroid either?
Oct 12, 2021 Bought it a few time after its release but never really used it. Which game can y’all recommend me?
Oct 13, 2021 Depends on what type of genre you f--- with brodie I'm hoping to get a Switch when it goes on sale so I can play Pokemon Legends next year
Nov 11, 2022 There's actually a ton of ports and indie games that are great on the switch. Specifically, survival horror-esque games; Yuppie Pyscho, Saturnalia, Yomawari: Lost in the dark, the resident evil ports, etc. I basically use my Switch like a cheap-version of a steam deck. If there's a game I want to play on Steam, I check it out on the Nintendo E-shop because the Switch offers more portability.
Nov 30, 2022 Was thinking about getting a 3DS . Looked on Amazon and they’re more than a switch . always thought Nintendo failed hugely not making the switch compatible with 3DS games.
