Jun 1, 2019 Not novelty but this was very satisfying, still so much of Nujabes music I have yet to explore!
Jul 1, 2020 Had some time just now (just before I do my Psych exam), so thought I'd update the hyperlinks in OP. Also, genius earlier this year posted a video about Nujabes' impact on hip-hop:
Jul 7, 2020 @Fire Squad @Ordinary Joel check this out. This beat was made by one Isaiah Rashad's producers.
Jul 8, 2020 Uyama Hiroto, one of Nujabes' frequent collaborators, has recently released an album alongside Japanese singer Coma-Chi titled Japanoia. It's a wicked blend and I highly recommend! As I've previously stated before, Hiroto's stuff is just as good as Nujabes and is an absolute legend! https://uyamacomachi.hearnow.com/
Jul 15, 2020 If you like Nujabes's style, Fat Jon is a pretty dope and underrated producer. His instrumental albums like Wave Motion, Humanoid Erotica, and Afterthought are really dope and the beats he made for Five Deez and Rebel Clique are otherworldly. While Nujabes is a master at minimalist Jazzy style production, Fat Jon strikes me as more experimental and innovative, especially when he gets into his electronic/house element. He's like a cross between Pete Rock and Flying Lotus. Samples:
Jul 15, 2020 @Kujaku67 great shout! Fat Jon is bloody brilliant with his production. His stuff definitely feels a lot more ethereal and alien like for sure. Love his work with Five Deez Also, welcome to the site! I'm a week late with my welcome but it's nice to see new members join our community
Jul 15, 2020 Samurai Champloo OST's are anime related yeah. The rest are fully fledged albums and mixtapes
