    Learning about the artist
    Denzel Spencer (born April 18, 1996), better known by his stage name Roy Woods (stylized as Roy Wood$), is a Canadian rapper, singer and songwriter from Brampton, Ontario. He attended Turner Fenton Secondary School for three years before switching to St. Augustine for his final year of high school. Before his music career took off, he was often recognized for his commitment and talent in Football. The origin of his name comes from a youth that lived in the same building as him from Brampton giving "Roy" his name after his previous one, Wood$ took a survey throughout his high school and Roy Wood$ seemed to be the winning ticket when he asked his peers. In an October 2014 interview with HotNewHipHop, he said some of his biggest influences are Michael Jackson, Drake, Nelly, The Weeknd and PartyNextDoor. He is signed to OVO Sound, the record label co-founded by rapper Drake, producer Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib.

    Album expectations (My personal opinions)
    Throughout the last couple months Roy has been teasing instagram photos with numerous artist (Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone, Lil Uzi, Justin Bieber, Drake, and many more.) Though it's not confirmed all of these artist will be making an appearance on his album "Waking At Dawn" coming late July that we will be seeing a couple features from the people listed above.

    We might even get a glimpse of Future x Roy in the near future probably not on this album but maybe in a project upcoming being he made a special appearance on Tour with drake x future awhile back.

    Completely agree I honestly feel like people only pay homage to that EP because of the Drake feature but I personally feel like every track that he has ever done in the lime-light of Drake he has out-shined drake personally.

    It seems like everybody has been f---ing with Kodak Black as of lately, I remember seeing Chris Breezy making some comments on him getting arrested and a couple other people, but I believe Roy was one of the first to get involved in the Kodak movement.
