Dec 31, 2017 Even though I know you literally mean that was your favourite album of the year, but it's lowkey a disrespect to Q, he's on a different level to Ab-Soul let's be honest, outside of the 'niche' scope, Q is the closest to Kendrick for music 'quality' and appeal, the production for one thing on Blank Face was on another playing field.

I f--- with him big time but no Q album f---s with Control System. DWTW & BFLP are the two best produced TDE albums though.....OXy is still the best Q album
Dec 31, 2017 Too hipster for me, I don't live in the world of TDE, better to judge it all in the grand scheme of things. Oxy was a disappointment, the album was very formulaic and followed the same tropes as any debut commercial big label release, it didn't live up to the hype that Q created in the run up to it. Blank Face was the perfect evolution for him, it had bangers, the production values on that project are almost otherworldly at times, 'Str8 Ballin' feels like a religious experience, tracks like 'John Muir' is like the west coast answer to the g-unit sound.. but on acid, 'Whatever u want', 'Groovy Tony', 'By Any Means' 'Black thoughts'.. the list goes on and on, only a handful of average tracks on that thing.
