Apr 10, 2017 Angelou got that smooth ATCQ feel to it. Aquafina is great just wished the keys were more frequent or something I really enjoyed them. Nature Boi is nice. Kinda repetitive but it's alright. Waves is really relaxing. I love Cobain. The horn or vocal sample (whatever it is) really works well here. Lite Brite didn't do much for me. And finally, Fwd is alright but kinda got same-y after a while. Favourite track is probably Angelou
Apr 10, 2017 Aquafina is f---ing godly. It's one of the best tracks on here. I'm not the biggest fan of the way the hook builds, but overall it's sooo smooth. That first minute or so is just perfect. Lite Brite was also pretty nice. It brought a feeling of nostalgia my way. The sound is reminiscent of some loading screen for an old N64 game, almost like Ocarina of Time or something. Cobain will probably be the one I keep on repeat for a while. As previously stated, that vocal sample REALLY hits. It brings the entire track to life. Great work! I don't think there are any "bad" instrumentals to be found on this project. Some outshine the others, but all in all I think you have a pretty solid foundation to continue to build from. Apr 11, 2017 The bass guitar in Angelou is That vocal segment in the middle adds character, and the jazzy ending ties it together well, definite ATCQ vibes Aquafina, d---, this is my favourite beat on the tape, s---'s almost too clean. Piano at the end is niiiiiiice Nature Boi is chill asf, be nice to have it on in the background while having a few durrys, sane for Waves Cobain feels a bit different to the rest of the tracks, but I still really dig it, when that bass kicks in thooo Lite Brite is cleeeeaaaannn, late night car-ride vibes Fwd is nice and chill, a good way to end off the tape Definitely plan on checking out your future work, you've definitely got your style sussed out, and it'd be interesting to see how you develop it
