Nov 26, 2019 I still like a few songs, but it’s just like any other album that comes out these days where I play the s--- out of it for a week then move on. Obviously this isn’t really like any other Kanye album for me.
Nov 26, 2019 Once I discovered Chakras and CIty In The Sky from The Yandhi leaks, I saw no point in revisiting this. On God kinda slaps tho.
Nov 29, 2019 Don’t really listen, besides Closed on Sundays very occasionally. I listen to Yandhi pretty much daily though.
Dec 3, 2019 Still his second worst album. I dont think that'll ever change until he releases a new album
Dec 3, 2019 selah, follow god and use this gospel in rotation, sometimes closed on sunday as well but nothing more
Dec 3, 2019 Have not listened to it for 2 weeks. Nothing makes me want to go back to it. Go back to Kamikaze more lmao I still bump some of the Yandhi leaks such as Alien Ft Kid Cudi and Young Thug, New Body, All Eyes on Ye (Turbografix?). Even if his verses are drafts on those. Even the JIK songs that were OG Yandhi sound better lol
Dec 3, 2019 I relistened a few times this week and it grew on me a little—I think this is comfortably better than ye but it's still rather disappointing considering how much potential a handful of those yandhi demos/leaks have.
Dec 3, 2019 I still like it. Similar to @Big Cuntry — the album itself hasn't necessarily "grown" on me. It's on par with Ye at the bottom of his discography. Follow God, Closed on Sunday, On God, Hands On, Use this Gospel are classic songs. Water and Everything We Need will age well. However, the JIK era is up there with Kanye's best eras. Sunday Service is legendary. He's essentially been on tour the entire year. Coachella on Easter was historic. The opera, regardless of execution, was a cool idea. The two music videos we've gotten are incredible. He released a f---ing IMAX movie (it was trash, honestly). The merch has been polarizing and iconic. I mostly just appreciate that Kanye found a way to reinvent himself yet again. Regardless of whether you agree with his direction or not. Joel Osteen was lame.
Dec 10, 2019 Gave it one listen the day it was released then I watched the Zane Lowe interview and turned that off after 10 mins.
Feb 13, 2020 Utter and utter trash. Honestly haven’t played it in months. Ye was trash but it’s 100x better than this crap
Feb 14, 2020 Almost 4 months on, i still like Follow God & On God -- the only songs that i would wager feel like Kanye West songs, where you have him opening up about s---. The other 9 songs is him preaching about god & reciting bible verses, there's just nothing else there. Very sterile, straight from the book, almost humorless. What an empty album.
Feb 14, 2020 Like you can replace kanye with any other artist, doing these lyrics, & it wouldn't be weird. it's so impersonal.
