Feb 18, 2023 I would say I’m surprised he was so positive but after listening to this a lot I’m not surprised at all. This is simply a very good album and easy listen that I think most people would have a hard time hating on
Feb 18, 2023 My current song ranking from favorite to least favorite: Thick Skull Crave Liar Figure 8 Big Man, Little Dignity Running Out Of Time The News You First This Is Why C’est Comme Ça I love all of the songs on this album, but you can see that I really favor those 4 ending songs of the album the most. I didn’t like C’est Comme Ça at first but it grew on me, and I think it’s good and catchy. It’s still my least favorite though, I think all the other songs are so much better

Oct 4, 2023 Yeah the ones imma check out are prolly Foals, JD Beck, Remi Wolf, Julian Baker, and maybe The Linda Linda's. Supposedly the demo was written for their After Laughter album so it'll hopefully be very depressing!
Oct 6, 2023 I think the Demo is solid, feels like if they cleaned it up it would sound at home on the more upbeat cuts of her solo work. Skimmed through some of the remixes and it honestly goes to show how good the original album is, changing the instruments even slightly really highlights the parts that make the band special that are missing from the new versions, same with the vocals where it just doesn't hit nearly as much with other people singing it. Also really makes me appreciate the mixing on the original, some of these change the mix on her vocals to be objectively worse. It's a remix album so still technically no misses in their discog

When I give this a listen I’ll probably just skim through it like you did to see if I find anything I like instead of giving a real album listen, but what you’re saying makes sense. Glad to hear that at least the demo is solid so at least there’s one good new thing here. I wasn’t expecting much anyway
