    like i said, it's still a matter of a lot of things (mainly money/experience related), but i also know very little in the way of stuff like that

    I think we've talked about this before but I know how you feel. Most of the time I gotta play s--- that I don't like at all at these events and not to mention the equipment is expensive as h---, my mixer alone cost me a fortune. But it's awesome being the soundtrack and I love seeing everyone's reaction when a song I like gets mad love. It's a great experience where you can see what can and cannot work in certain venues.

    i pretty much hate (and likely wouldn't know) 99% of what I'd have to play tho, so it's basically a no go from the jump for me (which is what I've tried explaining before). and like, you aren't the show when you dj at a club, and people don't go there for you or your music (unless it's literally you're concert/venu). they go there for a certain kind of predictable radio friendly music and if you're not playing it gtfo, and I'm sure the club owners expect the same. i'd be throwing money away to go down that road that I won't ever have to spare on in the first place

    Yeah I feel you, I can't really disagree with any of this especially since you are trying to pursue a legitimate career in music. Personally I've had amazing experiences doing those gigs and the money I earned were very much worth the effort, only problem was I wasn't committed to doing this for a living and at the time I had school & soccer in the way. I guess I'll conclude this by still encouraging you to give a try nonetheless but keep working hard with this music biz, it ain't easy but it sure is something thats very much meaningful.
