Sep 5, 2017 this game looks like s--- compared to a high end pc game rise of tomb raider on pc Nioh has two modes on ps4, action mode and movie mode. movie mode gets 30 fps at 1080p, action mode gets 60fps but only at 720p resolution this above tomb raider game gets 70fps on max on my pc computers are superior
Sep 5, 2017 ya it does look like s--- on the pic you showed, thankfully it looks better than that and that Tomb Raider pic on my ps4 & 60 inch oled
Sep 5, 2017 Sadly PC gamers are often huge fa----s (see: this thread) and 9 times out of 10 some weird a--- cornball that hangs out on 4Chan
Sep 5, 2017 Did we really need a thread for this ice cold take? Also imagine only using one or the other, doing yourself a disservice
Sep 5, 2017 btw that pictured above is Nioh (which runs at a measely 30fps at HD, 60fps at 720p) compared to Rise of the Tomb Raider which looks drastically better and can run 70fps on my rig at 1080p....nicer pc's can run that game at resolutions like 4k and get the same frames not even a discussion
Sep 5, 2017 @JIGGA MANE I mean mans just supported console>pc by telling me that his (noticeably graphically insuperior) game that is 30fps locked at 1080p and 60fps at 720p looks better than rise of tomb raider which most good rigs can get 60fps+ at 1080p...of course im gonna point out how incorrect that is
Sep 5, 2017 if 10 years ahead is 10 million weaboo indie/shovelware s----games then sure. @Changeling you are using s-----y bullshots btw. that witcher pic especially, lmfao. the pic on the left is literally just a screenshot with photoshop > filter > sharpen. (the pic on the right looks better too) i can't stand anything less than 720p and i still think 720p looks kinda s---. less than 30fps also looks s---. there's a huge difference to me. as an artist, low resolutions look like s---. I agree not everyone is the same, but the more PPI/higher resolution the better. if "imagine giving a f---" is your response, why not just watch tv on one of these cheap pieces of s---? the differences have so many variables. just playing something on a decent OLED tv will make it look better. I got a big, cheap tv, most game's look 'ok' on it, but they look incredible on my friends tv that is smaller with higher PPI/PPCM and some kind of LED display. Some people see HDR and go "wow amazing!" because there's so many colours and s---, I think it looks mostly s---. Other people see graphics differently, some people for example see a lower resolution and go "meh" where as for example a different person could see the same thing but be wow'd at the artistic direction, how good it looks in motion and how well optimized it is. To everyone ITT that want some insight into graphics and frames and why its such a huge variable in determining objectively good graphics etc and all the pseudo intellectual s---; most PC gamers go "MY GRAPHICS BETTER CAUSE HIGHER RES, HIGHER FRAMES LOOOL CANT HEAR YOU" when in reality, there's trillions of variables in graphics. Another example is that for video games entire history hair has always been one of the most tricky things to model/animate. You either get half-decent looking hair, with piss poor frame rates because the animations and polygons are chewing up the video memory, or you get some s--- looking plastic sheets stacked on top of each other to imitate the look of hair. good gif to show framerate differences; Example of Console graphics (Decima engine) being "better" than PC. colouring imo is a bit s---, but i've never seen such high res, dense, lush plantlife and fauna pulled off so well. (looks like there's a small amount of chromatic aberration/HDR tho) Also here is a gif of uncharted 4 (i believe) showing off some amazing f---ing physics/graphics Like a lot of PC gamers parrot that Crysis 1/2 are the pinnacle of graphics, even today... lighting engine nearly non-existent outside of character models, textures and models up close look like trash. low polygon count on everything. It looks alright at a distance though I guess. this probably the current pinnacle of graphics - s--- rendered in unreal engine 4 (keep in mind we will not see this level of graphics in-game for at least 5 or so years, the processing power required is ridiculous. this level of detail wont be seen on consoles for atleast 10 years though i'd say)
Sep 5, 2017 @Coco the Vageater the witcher screenshot was just the first I found, my points still stand That ps4 Nioh to PC Tomb Raider (which is one of the best looking games out rn imo) comparison tho
Sep 5, 2017 As coco said there are so many variables even I couldn't explain them all, and I completely admit that However, having played on a ps4 and a great rig I can say it's night and day, and I'm a huge PlayStation fan of 20+ years
Sep 6, 2017 lol are you trying to use this as an argument in support of PC? because the xbox one is more aesthetically pleasing. PC looks like it's trying to hard
