Jan 30, 2021 Sure! Op asks for personal favorites that aren't generic / usual suspects. Classic is a strong word btw but I did and do really enjoy it. Same as the BnE one! U heard (of) Bliss n Eso ?

Jan 30, 2021 they're the Aussie guys aren't they? heard of, never listened to them. Any recomendations?
Jan 30, 2021 2 of my favorites (w RZA and Xzibit)! Running on Air is a cool album. They're not 'hard' rappers like Kerser but they make enjoyable stuff to me. They also worked w Nas Little corny but they all k--- it imo. They do have some corny (little woke maybe) stuff but most of it sounds cool! I think one of them is Aussie the other American
Jan 30, 2021 I’ve said it before but this project feels like what Em was trying to accomplish with a stack of his recent releases, Start to finish the album delivers. Pretty much all EC releases from 99-04 are all personal classics, Waterworld being the standout. Allthough not through EC directly Jakki Da Motamouths “God vs Satan” is also great. Trems “for the rest of his natural life” is the best hip hop album to come out of Australia must listen. I’d also throw down Rhyme Asylums “state of lunacy”. Canibus is cool, Time Fly, Life dies, Phoenix rise and 2000 B.C are classics.
Jan 30, 2021 Jesus I havent heard of Jakki since like... 2004? I remember the concept being dope af. Reminds of Ras Kass' Interview with a Vampire.
Jan 30, 2021 There was interesting thread on Tiwtter the other day about how his debut album wasn't as bad people make it out to be. I always thought 2000BC was the debut he should have had, great album. Nothing in his discog is touching Rip the Jacker though.
Jan 30, 2021 Here’s a few for u to check Onyx - Shut Em Down Ludacris - Word of Mouf Westside Connection - Bow Down
Jan 30, 2021 I was listening to the first Onyx album a couple of days ago, they were ahead of their time.
Jan 30, 2021 Dope, this thread really took off while I was gone. Look forward to listening to all the recommendations - most of these I haven't heard tho some have been on my list. f--- when do I finally get to it lmao
Jan 30, 2021 Nice, I've been meaning to listen to KRS-One for a while now but just never got around to it. Revival? That's Eminem? Thought I heard all his albums, guess this one slipped by me. I wonder why...
