Aug 20, 2020 Okay, found the song myself. It's wack, really. I know Jay's new album about to be all BLM themed.
Aug 20, 2020 I still blame Erykah for 3 Stacks silence, where is he? But yeah, Jay been walking in pink suits, dreads etc recently. I don't like that at all.
Aug 20, 2020 My response to that tweet, "And water is wet." This is coming from someone who has been more of a fan of Nas than Jay-Z for a good portion (Over half) of my life.
Aug 20, 2020 Haven't even listened to the song yet but I'm ready to call it a classic if it has fragile white losers in their feelings like this
Aug 20, 2020 Lol I'll respond to this because I'll admit I'm a white loser however fragility has nothing to do with me not wanting to blare a track that is basically just "black man" said about 200 times. It's more uncomfortable. And it's pretty wack to be honest. Spiritual was much better
Aug 20, 2020 I mean, if the song is trash, doesn't matter what message is being conveyed. I can get behind Jay on that Black Opulence tip. That doesn't guarantee it will come out "SOUNDING" good. Nas has done some wack a--- socially-conscious tracks about Nubian Entrepreneurship and Empowerment, too. At least one or two of those types of songs were on Nasir, plehbwoay. Nipsey knew how to get this message across and make it "SOUND" good.
Aug 21, 2020 Lol nah. Watch The Throne and especially songs like Murder to Excellence are about struggle / succes of black people and its basically a top 5 album for me. This song just isn't even an actual song pharrel doesn't even have a verse or something we just hear "black man black man' 100 times lol. There is nothing wrong w songs about this subject, but this is just a bad song and more a statement than fun to listen to. And yes @Thy that doesn't change the fact that hov is still the GOAT!
Aug 21, 2020 this is hard af lol yea it's weird for us cacs to sing along with but this absolutely rides. Pharrell squealing over the track after the 3 minute mark >>>>>>>>>>
