Dec 7, 2014 As a professional wrestler, you go in a match with other wrestlers thinking that you need to protect them and vice versa. The goal is that NOBODY gets hurts, its an illusion where kicks and punches need to look legit but need to feel like getting hit by feathers. Ryback being green and reckless by legit breaking Punks ribs is not normal especially when you wrestling a WWE style. In the UFC, you fully expect on the other side to be hurting you in every way imaginable and you are ready for it.
Dec 7, 2014 Can't help but feel happy for CM Punk. I wish him the best and hope he is successful. but I think everybody is thinking the same thing, he is gonna get killed.
Dec 7, 2014 So all I can find is that this dude has SOME jiu jitsu experience..the fact he's in shape and has stage presence won't be enough to prevent him from getting absolutely mauled. Seems like Dana White is jumping on a quick marketing idea, if this wasn't UFC's slowest year in a while I wonder if he'd even consider this. This seems more like a Bellator move. If by the time of his first fight he can somehow hold his own I'll be impressed but for now it seems like this guy barely stands a chance, we shall see I guess.
Dec 7, 2014 no i'm just saying that wrestling in the WWE is a whole different thing from UFC Fighting. Punk's gonna get his a--- beat. he isn't a Brock Lesnar, that dude is a monster.
Dec 7, 2014 of course everything's scriped, but he was bitching about getting hurt you can just imagine what he's gonna do when real fighters try to kick his teeth in.
Dec 7, 2014 Wow, you're really not getting it are you... maybe somebody else can explain it to you better
Dec 7, 2014 Looks like Alberto Del Rio is making a return to MMA as well, rumors are saying he's close to signing with Bellator. He's previously competed for DEEP and PrideFC and has a record of 9-5. The general feeling is that Lesnar will be returning to MMA (more than likely UFC) as well once his WWE contract is up in April. McMahon wants him to take a pay cut because he feels like he's being paid more than he's worth. The wrestling news sites are also saying one more major name is talking about making the switch from pro wrestling to MMA, but no word on who yet.
