You're absolutely right, but the feeling won't last if you're not f---ing with the project. You can only fake that pre-release love for so long.

The albums a little long, Drake's not really going into new territory like he should be at this point of his career. Those are legitimate criticisms. But it shouldn't take away from the good & occasional great moments here, which are far more common than the low ones.

Tolerance for what? His voice? Because the implications of fatigue with his subject matter are limited to the following:

And aside from Redemption and Keep The Family Close, Drake builds on a winning formula with all of these.

I'm saying those are legit for people to have like, I understand why you wouldn't like this project if you were looking for him to head in a new direction.
    :wow5:
Idk I guess his verse on Faithful was kinda underwhelming?

Pop Style 1st verse was pretty average but the 2nd saves it.

Umm With You? Even though I just realized it's like a continuation of that molly trip outro on Preach. Actually kinda look at it like an interlude on Views, serving as a nice transition into the summer portion.

Ah I see. But he took joints similar to those he's made in the past, and put them on a triple dose of steroids. U With Me is confirmed greatest song of all time.

The subject matter is a legit gripe though, you're right. but:
We act like Wayne isn't still talking about eating p---- on every second song.
Like Pusha T doesn't still talk like he's Pablo Freshcobar from the hood.
Like 50 Cent doesn't still talk like he's 13 years old working the corners.

The issue with 50 was that he never took the subject matter and successfully evolved the sound. Drake didn't evolve anything per say, but he undoubtedly furthered it. And then he went left on some songs that connected very well (Controlla, One Dance).

I just think you guys need to work through about 8 bars of dove soap in the shower and re-listen. I don't think you guys are lite skin enough to enjoy this album, and that sounds like a joke but it's really not.

Between this album and the Chris Brown tape, I haven't stopped crying all weekend fam. I've typed up so many texts to my ex that I've cleared before sending. Next time I play Fire & Desire I'm going to find the right words to say to her though.

Yeah for big releases, everyone has started to rush their reviews. I noticed this with TPAB first.

Also last thing, I guess I haven't said it yet: I'm fine with the 6.8, this album is a 6.8 to the writer for the reasons stated. It's higher than that for me - I'm not sure how much higher, but it continues to climb with every spin.

Can't wait to retire this album for the summer after Still Krazy drops and then come back to it in the winter, in the middle of fall semester and play this s--- out until the snow melts!

I only used "tolerance" because of the fact that he's been on the outs in the critical community. Just meant "how much you like Drake." For me I still like I'm but am not as hot on him as I used to be, so I enjoy it, but not as much as you or dew or poohdini.
