Jan 26, 2020 There’s nothing wrong with only liking one or two artists from a genre, but there is something wrong with only liking 1-2 artists from a genre and claiming they’re the best of the genre when you’ve barely dipped your foot in.
Jan 26, 2020 sitting here in genuine shock that people think the “twist” in darkness was a big reveal
Jan 26, 2020 Does Spatula claim that Eminem is objectively the best or just his favorite? Cause I have no idea. But if he does it's not much different from presenting your opinions as indisputable fact as some do. Doesn't matter how knowledgeable they are about the genre.
Jan 26, 2020 I liked Darkness not because I was shocked by the “twist” but because I thought the comparison of Em & the shooter’s state of mind was a pretty ballsy idea to run with. I also really like the sample/hook. It all goes well together imo. it was also just nice to hear a lead single by Em that didn’t sound like a record label forced him to make it or something. He’s at least trying to be creative on that. Making music about topics relevant today rather than rapping about s--- that happened two decades ago.
Jan 26, 2020 The review is s---, as one could expect. The author thinks Darkness was predictable, Young MA has charisma and Eminem should go back to using the a--- like that voice. I mean, c'mon...
Jan 26, 2020 Wild young MA is the first female rapper to be on an Eminem project lol, and maybe the third (?) on a track in general after like, Missy and Nicki lol
Jan 26, 2020 I have heard songs from her and she has some dope songs. But that verse was terrible. h--- I could only imagine what would be said if Em rapped that verse. The Wayne and Drake lines were worse than corny. Not to mention the delivery was hot trash. No clue how yall can defend that verse.
Jan 26, 2020 https://www.thefader.com/2019/02/26/is-young-ma-the-best-rapper-in-new-york try lots of the hyperlinked songs in there, not necessarily “ooouuu,” which she surpassed quickly
Jan 26, 2020 He’s said some pretty wild stuff about Em for someone who by his own admission isn’t invested in any rappers besides Em, Pac, and Wayne. Which again if you only like three artists from a genre, those are pretty good choices!
Jan 26, 2020 Lol oh yeah man. I literally challenged a cop to a fight irl and almost caught a big charge from it, if I didn’t see some f---ing counselor. You’re the cop loving tyrant boot kicker. Extremely ugly photos you have online man, and you’re family is ugly as f---. Watch this guy have a meltdown after I post all of them.
Jan 26, 2020 It’s really not. Besides the point of the song, the beat was awful, his talking flow at times was bad enough for me to skip the song not even halfway through. He’s too biased to make a song like this. Remember he basically mocked the Columbine shooting on a earlier album? Remember Eminem drew a unloaded firearm on I think ICP’s manager? Then he made an album full of songs mentioning losing his gun rights talking about his freedom being taken away. His body guards he walks with all have guns. This is Eminem trying to make a song that might land high on the charts and make him relevant again. Too bad he rapped like s--- on it, had too many bad bars like “poking my head though the curtain” or some dumb s--- like that. Things he already rapped about. He’s doing whatever he can to try and get in the spotlight again. It’s a boring song, and far from intelligent. Come on slyk, you’re better than this.
