What do you listen to “I Love the Dough” for? What do you listen to “Never Change” for? You’re intrigued by the artist’s story/background & what they have to say. You want to know what happened to Jay’s 92 bricks. If you’re not interested in Drake that’s one thing but with everything leading up to this release, I don’t think “boring” is a good adjective to describe Drake’s most personal Project.

Boring is just such a lazy way to critique music. He's better on Elevate/Mob Ties/Can't Take a Joke where he's experimenting with new flows & melodies, and tracks with more substance like Emotionless/8 out of 10/March 14, but Survival serves it's purpose well as a small indicator of what to expect for the rest of A side. Nothing exceptional about it but it's not boring.

Boring is also kinda personal I guess. Same with uninteresting. If I play a song and after a minute I'm like is it over? I also would call it that but it doesn't mean its bad. Like on Talk UP Jay also raps without much energy compared to .. lets say apeshit as his recent single.

I kinda understand what BD means though, but yeah.

The difference is the way Jay and Big painted detailed pictures.. plus they just have better delivery, charisma and have way more interesting things to say than Drake talking about random enemies and girls.

I get it though, he's set the bar high on his intros with OMDB, Tuscan Leather, Legend, and Free Smoke

Nah most people aren’t delusional enough to think that hip hop is somehow ineherently better than rnb, Drake is just not very good at making either at the moment.

The production palette and tone of this album is very sleepy.

A Side is GOAT. B Side is solid but it has some pretty weak tracks. Overall 8.5/10

Definitely a little low of a score. I’m still playing this album. 8.5/10 for me. He is missing one started from the bottom or the language type track and I’d give it a 9.5
