Apr 16, 2017 Agree its not fair to say right now same goes for d--- vs hndrxx, both were amazing on first listen but it has to sink in
Apr 16, 2017 Definitely d---. It's on the same level of a Kanye West classic. Pushing boundaries musically. Not stuck in a nostalgic bubble like Eminem. GKMC has that horrible Dre song which ruined the album. Dre fell off.
Apr 16, 2017 Hmm this is hard, gkmc was one of the best listening experiences I've experienced. And the highs on twitter cannot be matched. But d--- is so great, production, quotables, helping me with my break up. Had to vote for gkmc even though it had worse lows, the highs were too good
Apr 16, 2017 Actually a really hard decision. I voted GKMC because it was such a ride to listen to on my first listen. It's like a movie. The way he describes the stories and situations on that album are vivid enough that I can picture the whole story as it's happening d--- is better then TPAB for sure though. Not saying TPAB is bad or anything because I did like that album (got old pretty quick though)
Apr 16, 2017 "d---." flexes Kendrick's musical talent. The instrumentals are more varied. His flows are more polished. His message is more sinister. Replay value's unfuckwitable. Therefore, it has my vote. "GKMC" is a classic, but this s---'s unbelievable. I'm still decoding the record as we speak, & I'm on my 70th listen.... It's amazing.
Apr 16, 2017 "TPAB" is his masterpiece though. I feel like this meshes the bombastic instrumentals of "GKMC" & the deep storytelling of "TPAB" all in one project flawlessly, but it's still its own animal... (If that makes sense) It's hard to explain.
