    I think you mentioned it before but they made me hate Three 6 Mafia for awhile when I uncovered this song as a young rap nerd lmao...Bad Boy in hindsight ended up as my all-time favorite label, on paper you'd think sampling 80's pop for hip-hop records sounds like a recipe for disaster but they made a lot of feel good music all while they balanced Rap/R&B fusions with hardcore street anthems.

    True, we were actually so stupid about this haha (tbh I still don't think that triple 6 have made something as good as E 1999 Eternal but I enjoy their best work when I listen to it). And yeah, I agree with your 2nd statement.
