Jul 29, 2015 In fact yeezus is exactly like Kanye, you love it or hate it, there is no in between. Maybe that's why he called it yeezus.
Jul 29, 2015 The amazing thing about that album is like, first you like the album, but with no exceptional song. Then you discover one beat or thing you like about a song, you become a fan of that song and you think it's the best song ever. You listen to it everyday until it's over played. Then you discover another one, and so it goes on. I had this with New slaves, bound 2, hold my liquor, send it up, blood on the leaves, black skinhead and I'm in it.
Jul 29, 2015 Those are my thoughts and I didn't want to expand so much on all the strengths and weaknesses in the OP because I didn't feel like I needed to. I think one of the strengths is the production and one of the weaknesses is the lyrics to be brief. I wanted to see why people consider it to be so fantastic. I've seen alot of praise for it, more so recently (I guess since the two year anniversary). I was just curious of you guys' opinions that's all. .
Jul 29, 2015 Really weird album, if ever an album was overrated and underrated at the same time its this one I mean it consists of some amazing songs which I love, but there's a few s-----y songs which I could never really get into Surely I can't be the only person who was left underwhelmed by this after MBDTF? I did expect more but the album is extremely unique in its own right and is definitely a grower. I appreciate it much more today than I did on its release date. Not for everyone but a solid 8/10 for me
Jul 29, 2015 This is one of the reasons why I didn't love this album. It isn't a bad album in itself but compared to MBDTF, I felt like it was inferior.
Jul 29, 2015 It mixes industrial, electronic, rap, & r&b seamlessly into one album. For a mainstream album, it's ambitious in its sound.
Jul 29, 2015 Pretty sure its just an ongoing joke like the lil b thing. Like its so bad its good or something
Jul 29, 2015 only the most delusional ye stan would find it amazing. but it's still a fairly decent album, with 5 good/great songs and 5 average/bad songs. Black Skinhead head is amazing, but Bound 2 is the worst thing that's ever happened to my ears.
Jul 30, 2015 people either love it or hate it, i personally loved it. I'm In It is my s---, no one ever talks about it though
Jul 30, 2015 At the very least, the production appeals to me in the fact that it's so much different from what most rappers would go for. The electronic influences on the album are just fantastic imo, and I'm already a big electronic music fan. It all sounds so grand and epic, and the opening track instantly sets the tone for what is to be a very different rap album. Oh Yeezus
Jul 30, 2015 Upon first listen of yeezus, I loved half the songs and absolutely hated the other half. After about 5 continuous spins I ended up loving everything about the album. It's a great ride.
Jul 30, 2015 Kanye usually drops an album and various artists start to catch on to his sound 5 years later.... By 2018 these other rap n----s albums will sound like yeezus. Watch...
Jul 30, 2015 He's allowed an opinion. Wouldn't be a great discussion if it was all one-sided. For me it's the production that gets this album over the line. Kanye never fails to produce a terrible beat on his albums. I loved the samples he used on this Yeezus.
