    gave it another listen. this is a good description. kind of a grower like "Hold on, we're going home". I aint mad at it but the song just don't seem worthy of the kind of praise it's getting
    edit: the weeknd has dropped two or three of the biggest tracks this summer and it's get no play on this forum

    I didn't like it at first, but the more you listen the more you like it. :idk: I posted a couple days ago that all these new Drake songs were luke warm, but people kept praising Hotline Bling so I gave it its due spins and now I'm a fan.

    This is the best song to come out of OVO in the last few days imo tho:

    I doubt it, Kendrick is a smart guy and anyone who can recite the alphabet knows that when you credit your co-writers, that's not ghost writing.

    Can't say i agree with this. No one reads the credits anymore and if you do it's still not clear who wrote what. So you still assume the artist wrote it. If they didn't write it and didn't obviously let you know they didn't write it, that's ghostwriting.
    Bottom line, we thought drake wrote 10 bandz and it turns out he may not have. the writer was a ghost.

    @Lockness @Mike Tyson The parts we're worried about are the ones where no one is credited, in addition to those where we know who wrote on it but not what they wrote. We arent gonna know about actual ghostwriting until someone gets exposed.

    I think there is some legitimate ghostwriting going on with Drake, as in non credited, but thats just me :idk:

    @Eller no dobut I believe Drake had people write stuff for him that we'll never know about. And I'm sure he's wrote for others as well. In addition he has plenty of tracks like Hotline Bling and 5 am in Toronto that are just out in the internet with no credits at all :jordan:

    The thing is though, I'm not sure how else Drake can credit the guy at that point. Co-writers are credited in the exact same manner as producers except people actively look to see who produced a joint.

    And anyways, 10 Bands was written by Drake. The hook and 5 bars from the intro were written by QM. The 8 and the 16 was Drake, same with the outro.

    He could tweet it, say it in an interview, anything that people actually pay attention to... of course he doesn't do that because he doesn't actually want people to know that he had help with the bars or Q. Miller to get any real public acknowledgement. And that's no knock on him, that's the smart thing to do. Just doesn't change the fact that it's ghostwriting.
    I won't speak on who wrote what on 10 bandz cuz i'm not sure

    No artist is going to tweet out a track by track contribution list, that's ridiculous. Every contributor is given full credit in the manner that they've been getting credit for the last 40 years, Meek made an uninformed statement and it blew up in his face.

    Quentin Miller himself said he is in no way, shape or form a ghost writer, I'm not sure what else they can really do.

    @Mike Tyson Q. Miller has no fans. you really think he'd say otherwise besides "he brought me the studio and Idk y" about the biggest rapper in the world?
    And what about songs on mixtapes or loose singles that rappers may have had writing help with that didn't get credited because there are no published credits? a song like 10 bandz could have easily been in that boat. not ghostwriters then?

    Maybe, but based off everything we know Q only contributed the hook & like 5 bars. The rest of the song is much greater than that, regardless of who wrote it.

    My thing is... why did'nt anyone react this way when Ye dropped the credits for All day?

    We aint talkin about that no more?

    I need to know the rappers I like write their own raps. Drake is dope he has hits and can write.... But if he had help he needs to shout them out more then. QM ...
    give them some shine like when Wayne told the world Drake wrote his verse at the vma's!



    They don't show it but Wayne yells out "drizzy Drake luv you boi"
