Jul 20, 2015 Trump still leads nationally by over 10 points now, support only dipped a bit in polling after the McCain attacks. Republicans are clearly racist
Jul 23, 2015 PPP shows a fairly large drop for Trump after the McCain debacle, still leads but only a couple points up on Walker. GOP is trying to find a way to keep him out of the debates and failing- some donors suggested Bush, Walker, and Rubio all say they won't participate in a debate with him, but they're not looking like they'd be able to work together even that much. Meanwhile, God is smiling down on America- http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/248910-exclusive-trump-threatens-third-party-run Obviously Trump is often full of s---, but his delusions of grandeur just might be strong enough to give Hillary a landslide. Where a three way race has been polled, Hillary beats Bush and Trump easily, with both of them getting about 29% to her 42%. What that would do to the electoral college is anyone's guess, but it would be ugly, particularly in the South and Southwest where the racist elements of the GOP are particularly strong and will flock to Trump.
Jul 23, 2015 The support for Trump honestly caught me off guard. Like, I literally regressed in the hope I had for this country. People would literally elect a racist a------ and say it's okay because he can run the government like a good business. Which is a flawed argument by itself. I was looking at some post on Facebook about him and expected to go to the comments and see a lot of backlash. Nah, b------s on there talking about how much they hate immigrants and how much they're harming our country. So apparently they don't even care about that stuff. To vote for a leader with clear prejudice blows my mind. I used to try to defend the Republican party because I like to keep an open mind, invoke thought, and be able to understand a point of view that I may not agree with. But they're on some next level s--- these days. And the media doesn't really help.
Jul 23, 2015 trump running has basically ensured that a democrat will win in 2016, especially if it's true that he'll run third party if he can't get the support from republicans. that would split the vote, dem wins in a landslide it's almost like he's purposely sabotaging the election
Jul 23, 2015 not really. sure, she's down from the heights of her time as Secretary of State when she was out of politics and was the world's foremost diplomat. so she's taken a hit since she's returned to the political sphere, but she's still a very strong candidate who is currently beating all Republicans in the polling
Jul 25, 2015 Rand Paul only raised 7 mil and his superpac only raised 3. He's fallen really badly in primary polling, too. In Kentucky he can't run for two offices at the same time and his Senate seat is up in 2016. If he wants to have any job at all we might see him as the first to drop out if he fails to gain any traction from the debates (I think he's still top ten, anyways) It's been pretty ugly for him with Trump sucking up all the coverage. He took to a printed version of the tax code with a chainsaw the other day, but no one is going to out crazy Trump Related note, looks like they won't be able to keep him out of the debate coming up. Going to be very entertaining to see these candidates try to figure out how to deal with him
Jul 25, 2015 Depends where you look. I'm sure you saw those Quinnipiac polls the other day for Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia (I believe). All pretty important states, and Hillary's getting beat by the GOP in each of them. Even more troubling, her favorability numbers were pretty devastating (high 30s I believe). Now, I'm not saying horse race #s should be trusted this far out, nor am I saying Quinnipiac is a flawless source. I'm just saying there are some unsettling warning signs that suggest she's far from unbeatable.
Jul 25, 2015 Not gonna unskewing the Q poll, In fact their final numbers are generally pretty good. What they ARE known for is wild swings over the course of an election that don't seem to correlate with anything that has happened in the campaign. Pretty much all concurrent national polling shows Clinton up by a few points to a lot of points depending on the opponent. Frankly, if she's up three nationally and down eight in Iowa, then the political reality has changed so much we can't make any predictions whatsoever.
Jul 28, 2015 Who is going to end up in the debate? Top ten from the polling average of qualifying polls as of August 4 Trump: 18% Bush 14% Walker 10.6% Rubio 6.2% Paul 6% Cruz 6% Huckabee 5.6% Carson 5.2% Christie 3% Perry 2.2% Kasich 2% Santorum 1.6% Jindal 1.4% Fiorina 0.8% Graham 0.2% I think they are using the five most recent polls as of the deadline, so there is going to be a big battle down at the bottom of the list for who is going to just miss the cut, and a lot of it is going to be determined by the quirks of the pollsters who end up qualifying to be in the average. Going to be a very interesting debate regardless because Trump is going to be there, and will be going in as the frontrunner. Leads in all recent national polling, leads big in New Hampshire, catching up to Walker in Iowa. He dipped a bit after the John McCain stuff, but is holding his lead. Ugly stuff for the GOP. Gonna be very entertaining next week. http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/first-read-first-gop-debate-new-ames-straw-poll-n399586
Jul 30, 2015 All the people that are running have really bad flaws and they don't have good enough positives that I've seen, I wonder how people out of the US think we're all r-----s politically, probably everyone
Aug 4, 2015 get your popcorn ready for the debate: sucks to be the rest of them, particularly Santorum who was basically the runner up last time and Perry who keeps wanting to be taken seriously as a candidate for some reason.

Aug 5, 2015 Bill Clinton apparently called Trump and encouraged him to run. GOAT trolling, @Final lost
Aug 6, 2015 Because a big figure in the Democratic Party encouraged trump, who you said you were going to vote for, to run, knowing he wouldn't be a serious candidate/competition for his wife & would just cause h--- for the Republican Party.
