Aug 30, 2015 no he's not as bad as he's made out to be he just seems bad when compared to his former self. he's held to a higher regard because of that early material. if he came in the game today with the stuff he's putting out now, nobody would be saying he's "so awful". he's average at minimum right now.
Aug 31, 2015 Yes and no. He gets overrated by a lot... he fell off, hard. And he isn't great, not even good overal. But here and there he does put out a few decent -or even good/great- songs, they are just surrounded my many average/bad songs. Imo he's just average right now, with highs and (a lot of) lows. Some people are just 'hating', sure.. but in many cases they are right to do so. Edit: just talking about current eminem
Aug 31, 2015 Don't know what you consider lows but Eminem has much more highs than lows. His lows are f---ing horrible though I'll admit that.
Aug 31, 2015 In my opinion Em has never been as good as he is today. He is at his peak and he has ever since MMLP2. Even since Relapse! His rapping has just evolved from that point and from 2013 until today he has been better than ever. Many people have said that Phenomenal is a disappointment for example, but in my opinion that is one of the best songs he has put out the past couple of years becuase in my eyes that is one of the bigger things that Eminem stand for. Motivate you, give you strength, 'self-empower you' (as he likes to put it) while at the same time keeping an amazing and rhyming scheme, impressive flow, giving us beats that make us feel alive! His old stuff is also amazing but if were gonna talk old Eminem vs. new Eminem the new one wins. I think a lot of people have just jumped on the hate-wagon because has become a trend to hate Eminem, just like it is a trend to hate Iggy, Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift and as soon as something new comes out and it's not the same as it was 15 years ago people hate on it and him. Similar to everything that has been going on with the Drake and Meek Mill beef many who have hated or not liked Drake took the chance and gave Drake sh*t for what might be true.
Aug 31, 2015 1.Eminem obviously is not the men he was. 2.His lyrics still being better than Wayne,Drake,Young Thug,Future, my n----- Travis(i love him) or 99% of the rap game.Only Cole and Kendrick can beat him. 3.His post MMLP2 flow is bs, he focuses con say the more words in less time. And it's boring. 4.He needs to work with Dre again. 5.MMLP2 is by far His best album after the first 3
Aug 31, 2015 You lost me right here. Fine, you're still a big fan nowadays, but those statements are both false and it's not even a matter of opinion.
Aug 31, 2015 No I'm not a huge fan still so what I said isn't biased at all. His raps aren't as blunt now as they were before. Lyrically, he is definitely better than he was before. There is more complexity. His harmonizing and singing or whatever is about the same as it was before. Everything else that I didn't mention as a flaw is just as good if not better than before. And it is a matter of opinion either way
Aug 31, 2015 There's nothing he does today better than he did it 15 years ago. Anything you think is "great" now was even better.
Aug 31, 2015 I've been listening to his music since 2001 man. I stand by my opinion and I respect yours
Aug 31, 2015 "it's cool to hate on Eminem now" no it's not shut the f--- up. It's cool? really? So if this weekend, I went out to the club and proclaimed "Eminem is s--- everyone! I hate him" everyone would throw their hands up in celebration and be like "whoa this guy is sooooo coool!" lol. Nobody thinks it's cool to hate on him, you freaks.
Aug 31, 2015 I agree with OP. He still one of the best out there... But in my opinion he still have the potential to make GREAT s--- again (just like the old Em). If he stop this fixation on rhyming everything with everything and start worrying more with how it sounds like. Just my opinion...
